    LOL.

why not just pay the ticket? If he has the funds to up and move to another state, then I'm sure he can pay the ticket.

because the funds he was going to use to move back, would be replaced be the tickets and he wouldnt be able to move back. especially if it was over 1000$ in tickets.

so say he moved to georgia and got pulled over? could a cop see it?
and would texas make any type of move to find him?

the way i see it, they dont know where he would be going after texas. so for GA to see it, that means it would have to be sent to every state in the country. and i can't see them sending that kind of information to every state, to catch a kid with a couple unpaid speeding tickets.

the thing he is worried about most is texas telling GA to suspend his licesnse...

my thought are that it would only be felony's. i cant see them patrolling the country to look for every person who hasn't paid a traffic violation. but, these are all just assumptions on my part. thats what i was coming here, to get some more information for him.

Its fine. He is free in any other states to do as he pleases. After 5 years the warrant is dropped and he can drive again in Texas(I think that is the correct number of years)

I recently saw someone come in on a Misd Probation warrant from 1996. I've also seen multiple people pulled over for a simple traffic violation, the failure to appear for the traffic tickets pop up on GCIC, and then them get transported half way across the country for some BS traffic stuff they should've taken care of.

My advice: take care of the damned tickets. There are a lot of agencies in this world that will have you extradited across many states for some BS failure to appear on traffic stuff.

I love all of the mis-information in this thread. If it is a bench warrant, then every state that uses the NCIC (which is all of them - lol) to run DLs will have this information. 1 routine traffic stop can land you in jail. It's that simple.

The TICKETS are not the problem. Well they ARE, but indirectly. The "failure to appear" for the courtdate is the issue, which you wouldn't have a court date had you not gotten the tickets. It does NOT go away after "so many years" --- it just gets worse. You go to jail in your county on a speeding ticket, then they run your name through NCIC and every county that wants you on traffic or court-dates will come up. In most cases they will LITERALLY want you... meaning they will come and get you so you can go to jail (then court) in their county to take care of stupid sh*t that you could have already taken care of.

Pay the tickets... it's that simple.

    Quoted for the ****ing truth.

Thanks. What were you in when you saw it? That store is the ****ing worst place to try and get someone to come to the register or get someone to order a part for you. I try and avoid it for the most part and go to Advanced, NAPA, or O'Reilly's. Buick is down until next week most likely, going through a few upgrades (bigger turbo, new chip, and in-car boost controller) and a new oil pan gasket.

They will not extridite you,for a traffic ticket.. I personally know that, i had a few tickets i got in AL, i never paid them... I got pulled over here in GA a few times, yea i got arrested for driving while suspended, but the state of AL never extridite me..

It is not worth them and the trouble to extridite you over a ticket.. They only do that for felonys, Yea i suggest you pay the ticket, but dont worry about them extriditing you.. It wont happen!!

And yes the state of GA knew i had the tickets in Al, becasue i had a AL Dl at the time, so they where well aware of the out standing tickets!!!

My buddy had a warrent for his arrest in Colorado. Im not sure what it was for, but it wasnt a felony. It happened back when he was like 14 or something. He is now 25 and got arrested for DUI in downtown Atlanta and they shipped his ass out to Colorado when they ran his name.

Take responsibility for your shiit man.

I know when I got my ticket in SC and didn't pay it they sent a letter to the State of Georgia about the ticket. The state then sent me a certified letter stating to turn in my license. I never turned it in. But it also stated in the letter that my license was from now on suspended until I paid the fine in SC and paid a reinstatement fee. I called my uncle who is a Dekalb County Police Sargent and he told me that if I got pulled over for whatever small or large I'd get taken to jail for driving on a suspended license. Once they put it out on the national database that you have a suspended license-whichever state, county, or town jurisdiction stops you-they'll be the ones to lock you up and fine you. I've known plenty of people that have gotten pulled over on suspended license from other states and they pay their fine and get out. It's not worth tax payer dollars to transport you back to the home state for a traffic violation unless it's something like vehicular homicide-and that's a damn felony.

I later paid the fine, SC sent me a blue paper saying I paid. I went to the tag office and paid a $250 reinstatement fee and was able to get another license.

LoL the problem isn't the ticket or the failure to appear. It's the fact that he's trying run from something stupid like that. I'll never understand how it makes more sense to up and move to another state because someone did not own up and show in court for a traffic ticket.. Speaks LOADS about them.
