my wife doesnt have a good credit score and its a pain in the ass. i was reading up on the net about paying off collections and what not to help get her score up. i seen something about doing PFD and i wanted to see if i could get any more info and how much that will help her score. not posting this to hear some smartass comment, im looking for an actual useful bit of advice......
she has a good bit of bad on her report
-repo, im not worried about that it can stay for all i care. its not going to get paid
-collection agency from t-mobile, its a payable amount so i want to pay this off but i also want to be sure on how to get the PFD letter.
-college loans, she has a loan on her report its split into 2 parts for some reason, they total out to probably 3-5k i dont think they are collection agencies but i want to know if i should just start making payments or arrange something with the loan people. hopefully my work can do something with my MGIB because i heard the military will now covers spouses along with me under my mgib (it pays for 100% of my school). and a while back we had a girl that already payed for school but use the mgib to pay for it somehow. so hopefully i can do that for her and make my life easier.
i cant remember anything else im going to pull up our reports sometime this month to see where they are at. i think there is one more bad thing on it. we also have a credit card that i use but it shows up on both of our reports, will this help her any? or is that considering as her piggybacking me?
