YOU may think he is whipped by your standards but he may be happy in his situation. Not every marriage is the same, some people grew up with a void in their life and on some level their spouse may fill that void.
The woman who may appear to have her husband run her life may be fulfilling the void of the lack of a father figure in her life, and it gives her a sense of security.. if she has a man who wants her to be her own woman she is not happy.
Same goes for a man, some men feel a need to have a woman who has more direction or assertiveness than he, does this make him less of a man? No, because if they are both happy in love then you cannot criticize them for finding what makes THEM happy.
In every relationship there is "Balance" not "who wears the pants," The whole idea that the man must run every aspect of the relationship is chauvinist and says nothing to me but insecurity.
