BETTA FISH 911!!
ok i bought a betta fish wednesday and it died the following morning. i dont know how it died but i just had a few questions to ask. i bought a new one yesterday and it hasnt died yet so im happy.
1. whats the proper way to transfer fish form bowl to bowl?
2. how othen do betta fish eat?
3. why does my fish look sad?
4. what kind of live food do they eat? mosquitos, ants? we got plenty

1. Pour a little bit of the water from the old bowl to the new. Try to get the new water at the same temperature. Let it sit for a minute for the old water to mix with the new so that the nutrients from the fish in the old water will mix.
2. Once a day is the accepted dosage. Some people say to give 3 servings, but that may be too much and leave too much bio-waste in the tank with uneaten food.
3. Your fish looks sad because Beta are a direct descendant of the Mongols. After the Mongols were blocked out of China via the Great Wall, their decline began. It started economically because China was there main source of revenue from selling Atari and Colecovision games. When the downfall of Mongolian people hit a severe level, they started regressing to other forms of survival. Soon, they figured out that they could build underwater volleyball courts and Mongolia was on the rise again. The more they stayed underwater learning their new craft, the more they took on underwater traits; such as gills, fins and kissy face mouths. Soon their pigmentation lost it's natural color and started taking on the natural vegetation of the undersea world. Greens, blues, reds, yellows and other "exotic" colors that you'll find underwater. With the invention of a way to watch movies on tape, the Mongols realized that this was a way of preserving history. Wanting to remember their past and history, the Mongols saw a similarity to their new life and took their present name from the new movie taping system Betamax; shortening it to just Beta. Now the reason why your fish is sad is because the Mongols never fully adjusted to having their previous way of life altered so drastically. and i had betta fish and i fed him twice a day.
morning and evening. maybe your betta needs a female or 2, or maybe even 3 so he could choose which 1 he wants...(pimpin) kills the ones he doesnt want haha.
when i had my betta, i got him 3 females and he got pretty happy and swimming all over the tank...so try that and youll see a difference.

my aunt left a beta fish for me to take care of when she went on vacation...i just put food in it and changed the water every week...it never died or anything

lol i had beta fish when i was little i think we went through like 3 of those bitches and they all died within a week and we did all the "correct" stuff too. Goldfish and koi in the backyard havnt died yet and its been like 5 years
I had 2 Beta's at the shop. Brian and Dominic from FnF. They died after a while, but they were old. I cried when they diedAnyways, I fed them once a day. There are directions on the food you buy. There is also this stuff called Beta Fix if they ever get ICK. It looks like little dots on them. It works pretty well to get them better.
my fish looks sad tracy. i dont want a sad fish, its boring. how do i make him happy? besides getting him some females
They never really look happy (they will change colors when they are happy or sad). They do like to live in bowls where they can hide under something...like a plant. They will eat the roots. If they don't have anything to hide under, they will make bubbles and hide under those.
you are a life saver. (my fish's life) so now im thinking my fish is happy since i just got done feeding him.

nah man i felt sad when my other fish died. even though i only had it for like 12 hours. i didnt have the heart to flush him down the toilet so i let it sit for like another day. than my little bro flushed it.
i feel bad that it died because of me and my carelessness. thats why im actaully trying to take care of this one. i even named him. (Frank)

but i think the only thing that keeps them alive is when you change their water ...its gotta be the right temperature cuz everytime i changed the water , it would come up and try to catch its breath ...if it was too cold or hot...
and you dont even gotta change it that much since they like to live in the mud or some ****, and you can feed it all you want.
