I paid close to 300 back when I bought it, but I'll take 100 bucks for it, I don't see myself using it when I get another Datsun.

Yessir, Autozone on Austell RD is my home.

Funny thing, my buddy George came in and we were talking about his rotary Corolla and puled out his phone to show me a picture of your blue one. Glad to hear there are more old school folks close to home.

The paint job is gonna be like this ALL winter. First few weeks of spring i'm going to finish up straightening the last few parts out, and it's going off to a resto shop for the finishing touches.

QD, I like those mirrors, and almost bought them. only thing holding me back is the absence of CHROME. I know, chrome is meh... but i really like the way it accents the front end.

Been meaning to ask, what mirrors are on the Honda? I saw them at the meet and loveeee them.

I read you, man. Keep it up, though. And the mirrors on the Honda are JDM Civic RS mirrors.

Agreed with these two fellas. There is no reason in the world that that camper shell needs to come off.

Thanks Josh, all about personal taste to be honest. I just find it different, and different is cool.

I think the most enjoyable thing about it is the old school nature of it. It just looks so old, and fits the truck so good. It will come off eventually in the summer or sometime through winter (it's heavy and kills my gas milage and cheap clutch.)

might I suggest finding a JDM 1200 UTE next time you're overseas?

Got a Cobb County 1976 plate to match the year of the truck. Can't register it, but it's pretty cool to have.

Need flares for sure. Just thinking... early Z car (S30) flares, with a little more low = epic. Torsion bars won't take me much lower, and I can only go aboit 1/2 lower on these shocks before I'm on the stops. (They're about an inch shorter then stock)

Gonna probably end up raising the shock mounts and making some coilovers or looking for some short coilover options.

I've taken off the camper... for now....... I also rolled the fenders with a bat to get a little less tire rub, and moar lower of course... but first:

So I went to an antique shop just walking around (been in and out of there a lot. They're huge) and walked past these...

They're old twin trumpet horns, aging somewhere between 1920-50. Everything I've seen suggests around the 30's, but there's a possibility its later then that. The low tone works great. The high tone trumpet has an internal short and works, but very intermittent. I don't want to burn it up so I'm thinking of dissecting it to see how it looks inside. The wire jacketing has fallen apart on both trumpets so I peeled it all off and covered the wireing in nice heat shrink tubing.*

After cleaning them up with a wire brush, they came out VERY nice.

I need to find a diagram for the 6V GM relay that it came with. I don't want to blow it up if it's any good. If I can get them both working 100%, I'll wire them in a series and run them on the truck. If not, I'll donate them to a rat rod project that's starting up.*
    *
I also have finished repainting one of my two fender badges.

    Not much new to report....

Except I've spent about $2000 in parts in the last few weeks on a datto stroker and some parts

New motor/trans rebuild coming soon! Before IA if I'm lucky.

    ---copied from another forum---

Just a bunch of random pictures here for the most part.L

She got me one of my favorite pictures blown up for Christmas. I love it!

    L
About a week or so ago, I was having oil PSI issues. (Oil light came on at idle) I was about ready to condemn the bearings and pull the motor after replacing the oil pump with a high volume pump which had no effect. After changing the oil and PSI sender (again) it's all fine. Dodged a bullet there. Best part about this oil pump is that it's external, and easy to remove. Driven by the distributor shaft, so I pulled the dizzy and used a set of vice grips to hold the shaft in place. 10 min later and I have a brand new oil pump in. I'm using a KA-E oil pump, since it's a higher volume pump.L
    L
GF changing the oil PSI switch.
    L

    L

    L

    L

Visited a friend around the corner and used his fender roller to play around.
    L

    L

    L
We only pulled the rear, since my fronts cleared with my current camber after doing some adjustments with a baseball bat a week before.L
    L
There is NO more lower the front can go though.
    L

    L
    L
We took a TON of pictures out at a closed parking lot. Enjoy. This shows about how stretched my fenders have gotten now.L
