    Default Starion/Conquest Daily

Just finishing up a complete restoration project on a Mitsu-made Conquest...Thought I'd share it with the IA community.

I have coilovers and poly bushings for the car that have yet to go in as well as some different wheels, but here it is as it sits now...

And for anyone who is interested you can follow the Complete build from start to where it's at right now at:
    http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/i...ic=108118&st=0

    Thanks for looking

Looks awesome!!! I have always loved those cars, but have an equal fear of trying to keep one running.

Those really are gorgeous cars. Echo, if you can find one in good shape DSM's really aren't as bad as what their repretatoin would preceed. They're just getting older and fall apart if they haven't been treated well, any old performance car with high mileage is going to have a lot of issues. Though I do agree the combination of Mitsu and Chrysler during that time period wasn't the greatest formula. I'm going to see if a guy I work with will let me post a couple of his Conquest, its seriously on point but just needs paintand a few little exterior pieces. the wheel fitment he's running is damn near perfect on some BBS track rims, supposedly got them off a Panoz racing car when they used to be located around Gwinett.

    Thanks guys.

Conquest/ starions are in no way shape or form DSM's. They're all 100 percent mitsu made in japan unilke DSM cars, which were produced here in either indiana or illinois... And the other set of wheels I have for the car are Stock 16x8 -10s for the front, so I can have the more dished look on the front as well.

There were two different sizes made in 16x8. The -10 offset ones will be easier to find but might not fit many things very well. Although they work well on fc's, and mkIII supras...

Yeah I need the -10s I already have a full stock set (16x7f and 16x8 rear) just need two more 16x8s for a full set of four16x8s. They work perfect on my pickup with 16x8 all the way around.

Lowered on coilovers. Also did a poly bushing install and replaced the ball joints.

If I ever had one, I'd like to have a Silver one. But I actually admire this one. Not being a fan of blue cars.

Yeah I've always had a thing for these cars when I see them. I wouldn't call myself an enthusiast for them but I really fall for that general body style from back in the day. It probably makes sense that I owned a mk2 supra for a while and I have my mk3 going on 7 years.

One thing I've learned is that it all really boils down to love for the car because these things (starion, supra, 240 and so on) eat up an ungodly amount of man hours and money in order to end up with a nice looking nice running ride.

Good job though man. Looks clean.

if it had rims, there's a local in Lawrenceville that just had his painted a Viper GTS blue.
