    Default Bought my second Z

I finally used my trailor this weekend. I was iching to get it into action. I bought the 77 280z. It's an ok car, for some reason it was coverted to a small weber carb from Fuel Injection. If i keep it, i will finish it with sidedrafts of some sort. Acually came with a title, but no key! Perfect dash, bad seats, and not to much rust. Bad-ass wood screw hood scoop, and racing stripe! i didn't have a chance to spray it off. It still has this years pollen all over it.

I will turn over and sound pretty good, if you do the hot wired coil trick and pour gas down the carb.

awesome... I see you have the custom bird nest in the bay mod too.

    What's the plan for it?

This started because i was thinking about buying a 83 280zx just for the front struts. it was engineless and rough. And then john {GZ} showed interest in keeping the zx after i pulled the struts, because he had an engine for it. Well the zx was gone and for some reason i bought this. It doesn't have the struts i wanted, so that is no longer a reason. Its not a keeper for me unless i ditch another car and if you guys know me i can never seem to do that. But plans are to finish the carb conversion with SU's or side drafts of some sort, new hood{black} and clean it up. Get in in good driving shape and sell it or trade it guess.

Looks solid from some of the pictures. I was awaiting a call from you this weekend. If not sooner maybe we can meet up on Sunday this week. I may have something for you to haul soon too.

That hood scoop is about as sexy as a pimpl on my butt. But the carb setup is actually pretty neat. Good find man.

The scoop is horrible. They cuut a few inches beside the factory vent, and screwed the thing to the vent itself. breaking it in the process. It looks like a part to a clothes dryer, but it acually says Nissan on it. I'm interested in seeing how it runs with this carb.

I actually got back from my dads today and saw my step mothers 82 280z in its poor cond., she bought it brand new back when, I told my dad I might buy it off them and restore it in a few years.... would LOVE to do an RB26 swap and keep the rest stock looking

An 82 could be really cool with the rb26, or just a l28et built up. There is a new G-Nose kit for the 80-83 zx cars that makes it look great. I have always wanted a t-top car. My first one was a 83 turbo/t-top model but it was rusted through. I didn't know enough at the time to look under the carpet!

I got a key cut for this car this weekend and it fired up! First try! It needs a fuel pump of course, it just runs a second on whatever gas you pour down the carb. I also bought another Z. 240z but it a shell. i did get a nice hood/airdam with it which was all i really wanted. anything off this car is for sale, but i am crushing it soon.

this doesn't really fit well, i always assumed 240/280 where exactly the same but there is so diffences in the valance. so i hope i can make this work

louvers! i never really like these, but now that i have some who knows? kinda cool

im sorry i dont visit this site often... I have headers 4 into 1. Webers yeah man they are triples with the extended horns on the end and fuel lines. They are the hard to find ones that are consider the colletors items. But Im not really into the true retro stuff, it dynoed at 151 untuned when i had them on last year. Now I have a rb25det that dynos high 4's. The wheels are something that the car came with 14x 8 with good whitewall tread. I have a hood thats clean no rust bucket. you can hit me at 404-642-5930 or pm me but I hardly check this.

Well i got a hood real cheap with the shell. But i'd love to see the wheels, and the the headers and triples sound real nice, but i really doubt i afford them. tahnks man, i'll give you a call sometime about the wheels.
