    Default Picked up an MR2...

So yesterday I picked up a 1st gen MR2. it's an 85, 140,000 miles or so, runs great, drives straight, it should be a fun car.

I found it on CL yesterday morning for $1400 called him and gave him $1200.

    EDIT: Pics up.

Thanks! I posted some pics in the OP. Needs some TLC and paint to be really clean but it's going to be a track toy as usual so it's good enough for me. I'll still touch up the faded trim and such.

Should be a good track toy. Any immediate plans for it?

I've had a Camry before but yes for first Toyota I will be modifying.

No immediate plans, hopefully I will get a few suspension upgrades within a month and some wheels/tires. Other then that just the usual track stuff like race seat, harness, roll bar or cage, but nothing like RIGHT NOW it will just all come along.

You're sitting at around 100 hp. They're surprisingly quick for that.

Yeah it's pretty fun, hopefully I'll do a few tiny bolt ons or something and gain a tad more. I'd love some ITB's on it or something one day.

I only have the rotary model vtec. You might be able to mod it though if you run Fat 5's.

I was thinking SI's...I'll see though, is it the 15 1/2 B VTEC cam circle valves or the square ring slappers?

I think it's the one from the crx that does NOT do a 17 second 1/4 mile.
