DRIVE IT TILL YOU BREAK IT!!!
nice 280ZX
LOL people that get fooled by those.
My friend has a kit one.
umm looks real to me. how can you tell?
I personally cannot tell from this photo, as it's VERY well done if it's a kit car, I'm not sure if it's real or fake, so yeah those who say it's fake chime in, towing on a open trailer isn't an option, I've seen F40's on open trailers.
Well at first glance it looks like a 250 gto. Lets assume that it is, I know I remember one of those going for something crazy like 12 million dollars. Now if you had a 12 Millon dollar car would you be pulling it down 20 with your explorer or would you be having it transported by a company that is insured to handle such things.

That is not a 240z/260z window frame or roof line...
Real 250 GTO:
Replica 250 GTO (Obvious 240z door window frame and roof line and wrong door handles)
BUT since there were only 36 250 GTO's ever built with sales ranging from in the millions to $25 million USD. This is highly unlikely to be one of them. Companies have now figured out how to recreate the correct window frame. That rear tail is also molded incorrectly.
Damn that thing looks good! Im gonna have to go with replica..
Should be less rounded off right here:
15.7 million pounds ($25'ish million USD), owned by a former chairman of Samsung
Evidence other than the rear tail make it look real, i'm still going over it...
Big difference, the track is controlled and highways are not. Too many variables. I find it highly unlikely someone would allow a multi-million car be dependant on a pair of $50 trailer tires.
I worked for an engineering company that did the airport runway projects and we were required to have over $1 million in insurance coverage on each of our Nissan Frontiers because of the planes nearby. I doubt an insurance company would be dumb enough to allow a $10+ million policy on a Ford Explorer and aluminum trailer...and I doubt someone would transport the car without sufficient coverage.
Yep! It's too bloated and goes down too far.
meh I wish the picture was better quality.. it is hard to see..
You know who drives 17 million dollar Ferraris around Road Atlanta. People who don't drive fucking Ford Explorers.
If anyone here thinks that someone with enough money to buy a 15 million dollar car is going to tow it on a open trailer.....Get in line theres a redneck handing out signs on the left.

Bet you he doesn't haul his most valuable car behind it
Didnt know they were THAT rare...
You know what Danny Panoz owns? A Mustang. Know what his wife has? A Miata. LMFAO.
Don't give me shit about people with expensive cars can't also have just normal cars.
ive been to quite a few Ferrari meets and ive seen a few. they were all real. and look just like that one. i dont think its fake.
A lot of the replies seem to stem from my original comment. Upon further investigation of the photo I don't think the tow vehicle is an Explorer. I don't really know SUV's, but that has a Euro rear tail panel. Notice how long and narrow the area is for the rear plate. Also the sign to the right does not look like anything I've seen here in the states. I still think it's a kit, but that opens the option to what the donor car is because they have so many cars over there we don't have here.
Thats just it you can decide purely based on the vehicle. Insurance companies that insure vehicles like this would only insure it if it was being transported in a proper manner. A proper manner for a 15 plus million dollar car is in a covered stacker trailer at minimum

Simon.....comon.....seriously?
A REAL 250 GTO would be transported in a trailer like the ones used by pro race teams.
250 GTOs are past the point of being "just a car." It's more like rare jewelry.
You'd never catch an owner of the hope diamond just walking around with it anywhere as you'd never catch a 250 GTO being driven around like that.
Here's what i mean.....
But an M1 isn't worth tens of millions. Neither is a 959.
Unlike most people on here, for me, the issue is not the Ford but the open trailer. There are too many hazards associated with that. I wouldn't carry a Rolex in a bucket.
The owner either has a good replica or is a complete dumbass. For the sake of the car, I hope it's just a replica.
and it's an m-class...just sayin'

It would be in an enclosed trailer if it was real, plus not dirty as f either.
Its a replica for sure

Well. You cannot judge anything by it being on an open trailer. i've seen Lambo's on open trailers rolling down the road with the alarm going off. I saw a guy (No shit) Towing a brand new Ford GT backwards on a damm tow dolly going across the tracks in Statham Ga and screwed up the front end of it when the nose drug down the asphalt. And he was driving a 90's Toyota truck. There was a guy in my old girlfriends neighborhood that had a real deal Corvette Grand Sport from the 60's and pulled it 20 miles or so with a tow strap smashing the front end of it on the truck in front of him when he wasn't paying attention. Not to mention the guy in Athens with the GT40, Million dollars he paid for that thing. Used to take it out and drive it all over Athens. Was like the last street driven GT40 in the world or something as I was told.
It happens. I have no doubt that someone would load a 15 million dollar Ferrari up on an open trailer because of one reason. Rich people are usually dumb when it comes to things like cars. Also, it's been well proven by Vintage Racers. If he takes that car out to the track and wrecks it, all he has to do is rebuild it and it's still worth 15 million dollars. Same thing if it gets wrecked on the trailer, all he needs to do is rebuild it back to the spec it is now and it's not going to depreciate. Thats the beauty of the super rare, ultra expensive vintage exotics.
Now, do I think that is a real 250? Nope. Do I wish it was? Yeap. Because I like to see Exotics brought out. I think it should be driven, not trailored.
