    My mother had a vega in the late 70's she said it was a total POS.

    That's a really rare car. It'd be interesting to put a 4.3 in a Vega just to have as a DD. lol

    Does anyone remember which magazine this car (really the engine) made the front cover of?

    It looked like a blue/black negative. I'm thinking car and driver but cant remember.

    Yes they are rare Cosworth was origiannly sought to put some pep in this thing but emission controls killed its potential then. Came from the factory with a whopping 120hp. But now... theres so much room for improvement i would love to build one of these.

    Cosworth....Nuff said. Cool find. 16v dohc chevy in the 70's, Like all of GM's good ideas, kill the cool shit and start selling Cavaliers.

    I couldve gotten cosworth vega for $1100. I had forgot about it then when i called he had already sold it. It had dual sidedrafts.
    4.3 vortec in vega would be perfect, dont know why i didnt think about that. Was thinking bout putting 4.3 in 77 320i that's been sitting up in garage for long time.
    Thanks for reminding me yall, cheap way to get good power to weight ratio. the bimmer is heavy but u dont see many of them anymore either.
