The worst accident i've ever been in is when i was in a 2001 ford f150 doing about 50 in a 45 and a 1989 toyota camry traveling the opposite direction, side swiped a mustang in fron of me lost controll and hit me head on completely totalling the truck. Before he hit me i could see into his car and he slamed on brakes and went uderneath the truck. When he hit me he shattered the glass but it didn't cave in on me, the tire that he went under forced its way into the cabin of the truck and sealed the driver side door closed. The bed came 85% off of the frame of the truck and was in the ditch on the side of the road due to becoming airborne. He walked away with a couple of lacerations. I had two broken feet and didn't notice it till i had already climbed out of the window of the driver side and stood for about 5 minutes. When ppl finally decided to try to help they were looking for the driver's body thinking i was the passenger because the police, paramedics, fire fighters, a doctor that happened to be on scene, all said that i should have been dead. And even the tow truck driver gave condolences to me thinking i was the passenger of the truck and when i told him i was driving he looked like he was going to pass out. I wish i had a picture on my comp to show. But a truck was totaled by a 89 camry.

I'll have to find pics. But the worst wreck I was in, was getting hit head on by a DUI on my bike. I was doing 45-50mph on the way home from work, she was going around 15-20 making a left turn. She turned into the intersection right as I passed through, I hit alittle left of the front bumper, don't really remember what happened. But I do remember seeing the ground sliding through the helmet. I landing face first and slid. She didn't have insurance either.

It shattered my femur and busted my knee cap wide open. So now I have a nice metal rod in my left leg. Spent 2 weeks in the hospital and nearly 2 months in a wheelchair. When all was said and done. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison, to serve 2 of those years. And when she gets out of prison I'm sueing her for half a mill. I found out you can't sue someone incarcirated (sp?). My insurance paid $25k which was my max, and luckily I had medical insurance which covered all but $1k of the bills. And that ladies is how I got the skyline. I'll have to find pics of the wreck and me in the hospital. I still have that bike too, about to take the motor off and put it on a go cart frame lol

I had just spent $1300 on a 60k mile service plus other various tuneups 17hrs before my accident. That money was gone and not recoverable by insurance. Sucks, huh?

I've only been in one car wreck where I was driving. Only 16, just got my liscense about 2 months prior. Needed to get smokes. My dad let me take the 77 F150 with the 460 in it. Was only about 7PM Mid summer, In pa I live in the boonies, all dirt roads. Except the one I lived on. I was on a dirt road when a state truck came taking up the whole road, I tried to to just ease it into the ditch to miss him but failed, soon as the tire dropped in, i shot up the embankment and rolled it 3 times. No injuries AT ALL. My brother was with me, I was stuck in the truck passenger side down in my seat belt. Couldn't get it undone. I thought he reached in and pushed it, but he claims he didnt. Randomly I fell to the passenger side, and crawled through the (broken out) rear window. Ran to a house only to look back and see a small fire starting under the hood. THe police, fire, and EMS came they put the fire out with out it burning anything, but it bent the frame, truck was totalled. It only had 20K on it too!

Been with my buddy once when he slid off the road doin 40, in a 40..just bounced through a ditch basically. But smashed the hell out of his 92 accord.

I've hit the wall and flipped several times when racing sprint cars too.

My worst wrecks though were on dirtbikes. My First bad one I think was in about 1998. I was in Maryland for my Regionals at Budds Creek for Loretta's. In 250 C Mod. Running 2nd the guy leading came up short on a table top, bounced in front of me, i landed on the back of him, went down knocked me out cold. Dad said I got ran over by 12 bikes and they thought I was dead. I got back up however, was lost couldn't find my way off the track. When I finally did, my dad found me back at our pit, with my bike ont he stand. I was laying on the ground, out cold. Didn't wake up again for a little over 2 months. I had a severe concussion, and nobody was around when I passed out, to keep me awake. Nobody's fault on that. My dad was looking for me and was about 300 yards away down over a hilll so he couldn't do anything. I dont remember anything really from that weekend. A few bits and pieces, but thats it really.

My next was Dec. 12 2002. Columbus Ohio, Arenacross race. My first pro class race. I holeshotted my first moto, had a good 3 bike lengths comming out of the first corner into the whoops. Hit them 4th wide open on my YZF400. My bike stuttered, and my front end dropped, i went over the bars and every guy behind me but one drilled me and eventually slammed my body into the cement wall, ahead of my bike. I got back up, and felt fine. Adrenaline took over. My front end was all twisted, but we got my bike back on the line after they red flagged it. I holeshotted again, but I couldn't get my right leg out in corners at all. Now I roam with 6 pins in my hip.

no pictures...i have some hard copies somewhere of all of them though....probably at my parents house or something

in highschool i fell asleep in a curve, went dukes of hazzard style across a road that intersected into the road i was on right at the curve, missed hitting a telephone pole airborne by less than 6inches..when it was all said and done the center of the frame of the car was touching the ground and the tranny was stuck in drive....but that bitch would still start everytime you bumped the key...walked away from that w/ an ambulance ride and nasty seatbelt bruises

next was in college, i was going to see my girlfriend across town, coming up to a redlight when the light turned green and i nailed it in the 3rd lane that ends about 500ft after the light trying to get around traffic, some lady ignored her red turning signal and pulled right out in front of me....tboned her at 70+, spent the night in the hospital, had fluid drained from both of my knees and some hellatious seatbelt bruises, i hit the van so hard it knocked the ladys mother (who was in the passenger seat w. no seatbelt on) through the passenger side window and she was laying unconscious on my hood half way out of the van....liked to of scared the balls off of me, thought the woman was dead....allstate basically bought my next car for me, i paid cash for my next car and didnt have a dime to my name when i had this wreck (8k for a bone stock 95 civic coupe w/ 50k miles on it in 2001)

*i married the aformentioned girlfriend, and i have to drive through that intersection everyday....and to this day i wont touch that 3rd lane

next was as bad i guess.....in a 95 civic (not the above mentioned, this was a poop car, the above mentioned was the black civic i had which eventually went turbo and i sold 3 years ago), had a elderly lady come over into my lane, and i slammed on brakes to keep from getting sideswiped, when i did i moved over into the path of an oncoming median (just a curb divider really) tried to swerve to keep from hitting it, got sideways, took out the suspension/rims/brakes on all 4 corners as a slid across the curb, and into oncmoing traffic....luckily the light had just turned green at the intersection and the only person that got close to me was able to swerve and miss hitting me head on

and the last and most recent one...while on vacation in panama city beach, fl this past july i was on my 03 r6 special edition, which i had just bought in may, cruising down the strip when a vanload of airforce recruits attempted to pull out in front of me, i swerved to the right to try to miss them and got tboned basically by a e250 van w/ about 8-9 recruits in it, suffered some roadrash, mild concussion, seperated shoulder, some more minor knee injuries, and a hurt ego, spent the night in the hospital in florida, was released the next morning (the day we were to leave anyway) and drove 5 hours back home w/ my bike intow on my trailer and all bandaged up from the accident

T-boned by an 88 Buick when i was in my 97 Tiburon. Hit me in the driver side right where the door meets the rear 1/4 panel. Busted out all the glass, put me into a 360 spin on pleasant hill infront of Berkmar Highschool and almost hit oncoming traffic and the car bounced off the curb... Ripped my door off in the intersection... only bruises, concussion and cuts from the glass shattering so i came out pretty good. No clue on the damage total, they towed it to the body shop they took one look, said atleast $7k without looking inside or suspension/frame, just body work and called it total that day. I was doing about 55 and she was turning left and "didnt see me" but she said she was probably doing 25 mph

About 5 weeks ago I was skipping err I mean heading towards school with one of my friends. He drives a 96 accord two door. We were going toward a four lane intersection, the light was green but he didn't yield to turn left. So the slow motion adrenaline kicked in and I braced for impact. I see the car just miss my door and hit his rear quarter panel. He hit an officers wife that had just bought a brand new minivan. The guy and the police showed up in literally 1 minute flat. This was my first wreck but thank god it wasn't my car. Also he tried to keep going after he hit the car but I got him to turn around. The ladies husband was cool about the whole thing and we went to school like we should of in the first place.

I crashed my first car a 1984 civic hatchback on scenic route near helen, ga.
Entered a corner alittle to fast and with no power steering I slid accross 3 lanes and hit the ditch and the mountan. rolled it up onto its drivers side and slid about 100ft and it fell back on its wheels and stoped. Me and my freind got out and checked the car and then drove home. Most fun I've ever had and I've never took another car on a late night mt. run.

you are correct....but w/ the police report and the driver admitting to the police officer who handled the wreck that he wasnt paying attention when turning helped (said he was distracted by something on the side of the road....gee wonder what that could be, 2pm, main strip in pcb, in july....T&A if you ask me) needless to say the govt has been nice to me, they just offered a final settlement which i have agreed to, minus the $8k they have already advanced me while i was out of work, i wont be set for life, but what i was offered is more than i thought they would offer, so i got my bike paid for and then some, all medical bills paid, basically my downtime paid for, and some extra cushion for the pain and aggrevation i went through during phys therapy

Damn I hope I dont have to go through anything like some of these. Worst I ever got into was when I rearended a caddilac deville or sts (the 4 door one). The lady started to pull out and make a right turn but stopped for no apparent reason. I was checking to see if I could go after her and didnt notice she stopped, boom. I had just had a major chest surgery about 2.5 months prior (the surger moved my sternum and all of my ribs, I get the metal bars out in May ) and the impact of the seatbelt was not helping the pain I was already experiencing. The Jeep Wrangler I was driving had zero damange at all, well the front liscence plate was busted (it was a plastic plate). The caddy needed a new rear bumper and trunk lid at the least. At least no one was hurt.

worst accident i've been in...happened almost 3 years ago, i was in the front passenger seat. 5 of us are in the small lexus SUV, on I-95, heading to this reggae concert. two cars collide in the 2nd leftmost lane, and one of them comes spinning in our direction. the driver tries to avoid the spinning car and our SUV rolls over a few times...

it was hot outside so we had the windows down, and i (ironically, STILL) have a bad habit of holding onto the roof of the car when the windows are down...so basically what happened is my right hand got smashed in the rollover...

i blacked out for a sec when the car rolled over. when i came to, the car was upside down in the middle of the hwy, and i remember being a little annoyed that blood got all over my new shelltoes LOL...until i saw where it was coming from. then it started to hurt...i remember looking at my hand to make sure i could move it still, wrapping it in a t-shirt i found in the car, and crawling out of one of the broken back windows out onto the hwy.

it's crazy to walk away from a wreck like that, stand in the middle of the interstate, look back...and see ALL 7 lanes blocked. i'll never forget it. it was almost an hour before the paramedics got me, and probably another 2-3 hrs before i got anything for the pain (which was...intense to say the least), cuz they operated that same night.

i spent a week in the hospital and had to get reconstructive surgery on my hand...4 fingertips were crushed...and i had severe road burns on the back of my hand. but luckily my thumb was completely unharmed (and that's the most important finger on your hand).

my hand is cool now, i had to re-learn how to do a lot of things since i'm right handed...but it didn't take too long. by the end of the week i was writing again (although it was sloppy and hurt like hell, lol), and after a few weeks i could drive, type, etc again. now i'd say i have about 90-95% functionality back. lucky for me the damage was mainly cosmetic...

one thing i will say about recovering from serious injuries is that a huge part of it is mental. it's good to read and see other folks kept their head up and are still doing their thing. shit happens...and life is too short to live it in fear

it was hot outside so we had the windows down, and i (ironically, STILL) have a bad habit of holding onto the roof of the car when the windows are down...so basically what happened is my right hand got smashed in the rollover...

Luckily, I haven't been in anything too bad.

My friend was in a brutal one though. Not to be an ass...but he was being an idiot. I'm glad he's alright though.

Billy had a really nice Volvo S60. It wasn't an R model, but it was running 18 psi, with 300+ bhp...so it might as well have been.

He was in Gainesville on some winding road. The road was slick from rain. He was doing about 80 mph in these esses. My friend Tyler had the window down, resting his elbow on the sill and gripping the top of the door frame with his hand. Billy lost it on a curve, ran up a hill and flipped his car.

Volvo brags about their safety...they do justice. Billy was fine, just bruised a bit because he had been knocked around in a rolling car. Tyler would've been fine had his hand not been out the window...but it was sandwiched between a Volvo and some asphault...so it tore the skin off of his knuckles and fingers. I think he can use his hand now though. It was pretty insane though.

Needless to say, the car's totaled. The half-shaft came up through the floor.
