Duluth police.....DAMN!!
Ok so last night i am driving home with my girl and two fo my buddies from a mexican resturant. I had 2 beers while i was there and ate a shit load of food. While driving home we passed 3 cops clocking people. I wasnt speeding or anything but then when i pulled onto sugaroaf a cop pulls behind me. my dumb ass friends all decided to look back a few times to see if the cops going to turn but he dosent. then all the sudden i see blue lights.
the cops walks up and said something like this is just a courtesy stop to tell you that your tail light is out. I was a little scared because i didnt remember when i had my beers but i talked to the cop for a minute. he then said he smelt beer in the car and asked if anyone had been drinking. being that I didnt remember when i had my beers (eighter 2 hours ago or like 20 minutes ago) i said my buddy had been the one who had a drink, even forgeting he wasnt 21 yet.
The cop then asks me to step out of the car so i do and get behind the car. he tells me that the reason he pulled me over was because of the tail light and because everyone in the car was looking back at him and it looked a little suspicious. I told him the everyone in the car was just stupid and that we have no reason to be worried about anything. he then said that he smelt beer in the car and that he "thought" he still smelt it. He asked if I would take a breath alize. i said sure and he got it out. I blew in it and before I could read what it said he moved it up and sail "Thats what I like to see" opeans the back door to the car....HOLY SHIT i thought i was going to jail.
He then puts the tool back in the car and said i blew a 0.00. He then asks if there is any reason why everyone was looking back and knowing there wasnt anything in the car i siad no and if he would like he can search the car. Then remembering that my Glock was in the car i told him that I forgot it was in the car but handed him my liscense and told him where it was. I also told him that I had a pipe in the car but nothing was ever put in it.
He search my car and said he fould a blunt rapper and some old tobacco on the floor and that he was going to need to search the car for marijuana. I told him go ahead. he searched everything and finds nothing. He called my serial number in for my gun finds it all good and then realizes that the tobacco he found was nothing but old leaves under my seat ad the blunt wrap was a wraper for a black and mild.
Then he decided to check my buddies liscense to see if hes 21, he told him before he could even check that he wasnt and the cop just walks away.
Now we are all over on the side of the road, 4 of us, with 3 cop cars behind me and 5 cops all around us. The cops keep looking in the car and find nothing. Then the first cop that pulled us over said he was going to put my gun back, and my pipe. When he comes back he asks why we were so paranoid? I said because you are cops and i dont want to go to jail. he said you seen to not have to worry because you have done nothing wrong, you guys just looked suspicious.
The cop then gave us pointed to look "less" suspicious next time and said you are good to go and to get the tail light fixed.
DAMN. I thought i was going to jail with a DUI and my buddy was going to go for under age...I guess nto all cops are bad.
