Serious question about a big buy..

Okay, so I went to the store here on base and they have the Sony Vaio Home entertaintment center on sale for 1000$ its normally like 1700-2k. I was looking over the specs, and it all just started jumbling around in my head. So basically Im curious if anyone has one, know anything about them? Its pretty much what I want, but jus not sure if I should buy it or build my own system?! Anyone??

Ok well here is CRUTCHFIELD's take on it... I understand that hard to go wrong with SONY, but Im jus curious if it will be capable of regular computer things like gammin online with Battlefield 2142 (or w/e)? Also would I hook this up to a receiver for the sound, or jus plug speakers into it? Thanx for the help though

SPECS ARE COMIN UP BLANK, THAT DONT SEEM LIKE SOMETHING DEDICATED TO JUST HOME AUDIO, SO MY BET IS ITS A GOOD ALL AROUND PERFORMER BUT DOES NOT EXCEL AT ANYTHING SPECIFIC, DEPENDS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING TO GET OUT OF IT I GUESS
