Quick Question about McDonalds...
If someone is Blind, how can they read the sign stating that Braille menu's are available? Further more, if someone is blind and has a friend with them who can see that the braille menu's are available, why can't the friend just read off the regular menu to the blind friend. And even further more, It McDonalds. You have a choice between burgers and nuggets...

Drive thru atm's also have braille. That has always confused me. But good observation.

I always wondered what the point was of having the brail and head phone features on atms... If you need someone to get you to an atm, why the hell not just let them do the transaction for you?

to answer your questions that i actually know the answers:
the sign with a picture of picture menus on the exterior is to visualize menus with pictures for people who cannot read well, as well if someone is mute. braille is available as a courtisy, and braille is not solely used by completely blind people, as people with severe sight problems use it as well.
the atm has braille for two reasons: 1) for when its dark and you might not be able to make out the numbers, the one with raises on it is the 5 or enter.
2) for people with sight problems not as bad as pure blindness.
