Yeah I remember that, it was crazy back then. We used to have riots every friday, huge fights between blacks and mexicans at Compton high. Then, they put up these huge 12 foot gates around the school because dudes were calling their friends up to the school. The gates were meant to keep none students out, but it made the campus like a prison. When the fights popped off, you had to scrap, couldn't run anywhere. Man, it was so stupid to see us fighting like that, but I had to rep my hood. Just stupidity though man.

I heard Compton was mad diff now, when I look at my street on Mapquest I see new condos where there was an empty lot before. Projects, were replaced with condos too. Thats a trip

I dont know about Lamont, you mean Lamert? I remeber Echo park though, I used to roll by there with my boys and the esa's would be deep. When I lived in LA, I was younger. But we lived in South Central down the street from South park.
