I am white. LOL - naah, seriously though --> considering that my last name is "Johnson" I have never be able to trace further than my great grandad. It gets REAAAAAL interesting (for lack of a better word) after that. Let's just say that there is no "Johnson" tribe running around in Africa so "Johnson" is a CONFIRMED slave name for my family. I even know the decendants of the family that "gave" my predecessors the name. I bet a lot of you never even thought of shit like that huh - not being able to trace your roots back, and when you do it's a "given" name. I'm white. 1/8th Cherokee due to a fullblood cherokee great grandmother, my maternal family traces its ancestry back to Scotland and my paternal family knows nothing of its history other than that they came to America as pirates. When in Scotland me and my family found a memorial at the Culloden battlefield to our ancient clansmen who fell at the hands of the british. I know there is some Polish blood on my mother's side but I'm not sure how close that is to my genetics.
