that really makes no sense to me. I guess it's possible if your only looking at commute via work. The reason then California is so cheap is because no one out there has a damn job. People drive around all day just causing traffic jams for no apparent reason. But in all seriousness, LA requires so much driving to get anywhere/do anything. The city is soo fucking spread out. People who have spent time there I am sure can vouch. To get from a southern suburb like Laguna Beach or Newport and head north to a northern suburb like Camarillo or Ventura is at least a 3 hour drive. On PCH 1 at about 2am it took us 3:30 minutes from Newport Beach to Camarillo. Everything is everywhere which is never close to anything in LA. Once again though, I digress.
