    Default My fishes tail is not working anymore???

    WTF!!!

    My fish is a betta. I've had it for almost a year. All of a sudden his tail doesnt really work. Like he just lays on the side of the fish tank and doesnt do shit. He moves it a little but not enough to get around anywhere.

    Before he use to come swimming up to me and everything everytime he saw me come to the bowl. He just uses his 2 front flippers to struggle to eat food. I dont know whats wrong.

    Should I end his misery? Should I let him live? I dont know what to do.

    Please my wise IA'ers enlighten me.

    I'm serious to about my fish. I'll post pics of him just chillin on the side of the fish bowl later on...I dont know whats up..

    Sounds like the poor thing is having old age issues...

    Betta's are cool

    Me + Fish = Dead Fish for some reason... so I would be the one to talk to about what to do about his issue...Good luck though.

    hey that happened to my Betta so i decided to drop him in a glass oh coke and end his misery and bought a new one. Never found out why it happened though.

    He's sick. Likely a swim bladder infection or if he has spots on him, fish disease called ich.

    You can treat him or he'll die eventually. Does he have filration? Regular water changes and dechlorination?

    No way to tell. I haven't seen him so I don't know for sure if that's even what he has.

    Most all fish ailments are treatable though. There are wide spectrum cures that can be put in the tank that may help him even if you don't know exactly what he has. Ich is pretty common though as are swim bladder infections.

Asshole.
