HOV lane ticket need advice

Well i jus moved here from NC and dont kno my way around atlanta that well.i live in marietta and i had a job interview downtown and went to mapquest for the directions. well if you know about goin down 75 from marietta u have to get in the far left lane to stay on or u will go onto 285 so i did exactly that and stayed in the left lane allll the way down. but i had no clue that i had to get back over to the right side to stay on 75 and also i was too busy trying to figure out were to go plus there was to much traffic to get over in time .so i ended up havin to take the 85 exit which is horrible because the last thing i wanted to do was be late for a interview for a good job and get lost in atlanta but when i got off i saw a sign that said 75 S which is were i needed to be and didnt notice that it was a HOV lane and got pulled over, i explained it to the police but u kno how that went.


i know its not exspensive for the ticket but any wasted money is exspensive when u just moved and im wondering if i can get some kind of advice.does anyone think the D.A will understand at all???

In all seriousness, I dont think they will be nice to you and drop the ticket because they just want your money. If I was a cop you told me that story I wouldnt have given you a ticket to begin with...

When I moved to GA on a NC license, I got a drag racing ticket. Payed GA $800 with classes and everything. I went to get the my license reinstated 6months later, and the GA DMV said since it was on a NC license so GA had nothing to do with it and just laughed so I got escorted out of the dmv by the police once I threw all the papers that were on the desk at the dmv guy behind the desk. Basically GA Jewed me out of $800. Moral of the story is, If you are on a NC license see about not paying for shit, since NC has no HOV lane.

well, maybe they are called something different in other parts of NC, but in charlotte, its called HOV lanes, they got the lil diamond symbols in the lanes just like in atlanta

Either way, get your GA license. The info from the ticket will take several months to get to NC. Get your GA license before then. For mine, it took NC 5.5 months for nc to get the info, and from that point they revoked my license for 1year. That means I could have drove for the 6months prior rather then having my license revoked for 1.5years. If you go to court and they tell you to pay up, tell them to kiss your ass.

charlotte has hov lanes but not like atlanta we dont have stop signs before u get on the highway highway 81 (the main highway)does not have hov lanes.and u dont have exits to go onto another highway on the left side it is totally diferent and the hov lanes u have seen are pretty new.
