It is just a different motor.

    Basic mods.

Maybe car makes like 200whp now. But I mean I weigh under 2400lbs.

I'm in for a track day showdown.

Everyone here *should* be local. TGPR when it opens up again? or roebling?Or perhaps CMP?

I'd say RA, but I don't wanna see a bunch of newbs killing themselves. (also would't want to put that on any of the local car clubs.)

A street tire rule should be in effect too, just to keep the playing field fair.

I find it humorous that people who have no seat time in an Infiniti.. a G35 specifically have such strong opinions on the luxury and/or performance of the car. Comparing a G35 to an E46 M3 is plain stupid, stock for stock the M3 is in a far different class than the G. A comparison to the upcoming GT-R when it comes out will be more appropriate.

BUT modofied I'll take the G without hesitation, modifed E46 M3 (sorry I just dont consider the previous M a comparison stock or modified) vs modified G you'll spend less, blow the doors off the M and get twice as much attention (trust me I know this)

The G is the better value, still luxurious for the price and relatively mod friendly.. not to mention easy on the eyes. Say what you will but we can see some of you guys just ride BMW's nuts with no logical explanation for the ignorance you spew in this forum.

Exactly, but that isn't going to fly to them because it is not worshiping the BMW gods!

I still can't believe me posting pics of the new G35 Sedan has caused this much of an uproar. The main thing I have learned from this thread:

As a whole, BMW owners are elitest pricks that love to talk down to people....and then say they aren't doing it.

I've ridden an A G35 asshole. Not impressed. I've been a passenger in a G35 in an autocross. Still not impressed. STFU with what you 'think' I know and have done.

Modified how, as in, turbo the G35? OK, thats cool. See you in 25k miles when you need a rebuild, or less.

Being a passenger doesnt make you an expert, again the crap you post is pointless and borderline elementary.. I seriously have a more productive conversation about cars with my 5 year old son.

And about the twin turbo G35 thing.. mine had 61k miles when I sold it, but I'm sorry your OPINION tanks my EXPERIENCE because you've been a passenger in a G35. Try again

How many miles were on your turbo car AFTER the turbo, I know a well established local turbo shop (name to be left un-named, none of my business) that told people I know they refused to work on VQ35 (the engine in a G35, see, I know somethign you dind't think I did), because they consider it a BOAT ANCHOR. They had one sitting on the floor of their shop once, oohh, and guess what? That was from the one and only one they turbod.

Well I'll name a local shop.. Forged Performance, stop by sometime and you'll see that boat anchor putting down about 500+whp on a regular basis:

    http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=225680

Plenty of G and Z owners stop through there to get their VQ tuned reliably.. knock on wood but I believe none Sharif's customers have blown an engine as of yet.. its because he knows what he's doing when it comes to the VQ and many other shops dont.

But I'm done responding to you because all you have is what you've heard.. I'm telling you what I know and have experienced first hand.

twice as much attention as a bmw? Take a female off the street and show them a bmw m3 and a infiniti g35, see which they can identify by the brand, and then which they would want, nice try dude.

G is a better value? we dont need to compare to the M3, the 330ci is ALMOST as fast in a straight line and will out perform the G35 in most other categories.

G is a better value? we dont need to compare to the M3, the 330ci is ALMOST as fast in a straight line and will out perform the G35 in most other categories.

Better value as in 90% of the features on the G35 are standard whereas the comparable vehicle gets way more expensive with the same features. You'll end up spending $45k on a brand new 330 with the same features that a $35k G35 has.

And if you have to use a car to pick up females off the street then thats a personal problem, that isn't my style. I'm not saying the M3 is an ugly car by any means, I personally LOVE the look of E46 M3's. What I stated was that modified M3 vs modified G35.. the G will get more looks.. why? Because the 3 series makes the M3 look like a regular BMW and it tends to be transparent.. you dont see nicely modified G35's every day and that is why it will turn more heads.

I was saying just a random girl and see which one they like better, i dont need to pick up girls in my car, i already have had the same one since i had a wrangler...

Regular bmw 3 series? Do you know what a M3 looks like?

bigger wheels, bulging fenders, pronounced hood bulge... You obviously know NOTHING of BMW, obviously M3 will look similar, it is the MOTORSPORT 3 series... wow wtf dude... easy to tell which one is which!!! hahahaha

Fuck options, BMW options have always been pricey, again, you obviously disregarded what i asked, if you cannot afford the payment on the G35 you cant afford it on the M3, you would not be looking at either car, If price is a a big issue and you wanted "luxury" you would be at Acura dealership.

To you who seems to love nothing more than BMW's of course you see the difference.. the average person sees a 3 series, sorry to break it to you like this.

I dont know what you asked but I dont finance, I pay cash for anything I drive so theres no "affordable payment" issues for me and I can only speak for myself. I chose the G for the looks, the service, and just everything you get when purchasing a G35. I got the worst service at Hank Aaron BMW so that sealed the deal for me and never looked back.

I like how there only defense was to go straight to the point where they challenged us to race at a track?

We never said anything about being faster then them or anything, yet they were like "Settle your shit with us at the track in March you pussies!"

    LOL!

No shit! I mean, if we are going to make this ridiculous lets just go all out:

HEY! BMW OWNERS! I'LL GET A 50k QX56 FROM WORK, YOU GET A 50K M3 (so we are comparing similiar priced vehicles, since the rest doesn't matter), AND WE ARE RACING....THROUGH MUDD! SEE YOU AT THE TRAIL, PUSSYS!
