Jeff G won best of show Honda/Acura, and we got judged 4 or 5 times this weekend, We know we had stiff comp from Yamil, A purple h/b from Jersey that was amazing, and Jay Laubs nsx. They seems to watch a few classes to make sure things arent a total joke, Generally Honda classes custom/wild are judged better. btw, congrats to Brett, the car looked great!

^^ Thanks, I was totally suprised I placed, But taking 1st in Custom was a shock. I know in Honda there are alot of cars to compete with, and Civic's especially, so I left with a smile

Allstars cars as usaul looked hawt and made a statement, was good to see all you guys, I even saw Pete drivin the Pontiac SUV around

The judges we has were wipin jambs, and lookin at fit and finish REAL close. They were rubbin the graffics in all the jambs, and lookin under stuff in the engine bay. The 2 days on a lift cleaning under the car paid off I'd say.
Since you are always real clean, and the car is done well, I'm not suprised you won.

Yeah he was feeling my paint in the Jambs to see if he could feel the marble in the door Jambs and was checking the fit of the fiberglass in the trunk, I was actually shocked they took the time to REALLY look at my car, But he did. It was 2 judges who looked at it. I actually felt when he walked off I was REALLY judged. That alone shocked me..LOL.

Showin some classes really are judges now, they learned that if 60%+ are Honda /Acura, (probably more actually) they gotta pay better attn to them.

Yeah I agree, Like I said I had never shown at NOPI till this year, Went in expecting to get some bad judges and have them spend maybe 30 seconds on my car, But he was there for a bit and just over all really went over the car.

Conngrats again on all the wins for your team man!!

Actually Yamil and AAP didn't enter any cars. The only thing that was done was the Dyno competition with the yellow supra....which won. Not a lot of time to prep you own cars when you are building 8-10 vehicles for paying customers. They will always comes first.

Yeah that was funny when you told me they had to turn down the boost because the Dyno couldnt read anything over 1000hp...LOL.

Yeah Yamils car was a booth car this year.

The purple one? I'm not fond of that much work being done to a car, but for what it was, it was damn damn clean! I really couldn't find a fuck up anywhere on the car. They did the interior pretty low key also, which was a surprise, but made it that much better..

esp looking at it from the middle of the garage then walking to the other side of the car when the sun was low and hitting the paint.

Suede headliner, floor and seats, more polished suspension, engine and accessories than 2 5' mirrors could show, and greater attn to detail than we thought we could do makes us proud. We know it can still be beaten, and when it does it comes with a firm handshake from the three of us who gave this all we had.

My yellow 93 RX7. The one in my avatar. It was sitting over 25 miles away from the Speedway wrecked at the body shop. Somehow it managed to get 2nd. They just draw names out of a hat down there.
