    Default New SRT line up....

    THE MISSION
    Jeep® Grand Cherokee SRT8 will
exceed your wildest expectations, delivering extreme driving performance in a bold, aggressive, and versatile package. The combination of Jeep’s four-wheel drive leadership and the SRT- developed 6.1-liter HEMI® maximizes the Grand Cherokee SRT8’s performance, resulting in a 0 to 60 mph time of under 5 seconds—wet or dry. The SRT8’s extreme dose of power and functional, performance-themed style deliver an exhilarating driving experience like no other.

    THE HISTORY
A passion for performance has been in our blood for over fifty years, from the HEMI®-powered muscle cars of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s to the radical development of the Prowler and Viper of the 1990s. Today’s SRT team combines the Chrysler Group’s extensive motor sports engineering expertise, legendary Dodge Viper development team, and Mopar performance parts engineers to produce Jeep Street and Racing Technology.

    THE PEOPLE
It takes an incredible amount of talent, creativity, and resources to create SRT-caliber high-performance vehicles. The SRT Team is a tight and passionate group that can quickly apply hard-earned knowledge from their own personal motor sports experiences. They have full access to DaimlerChrysler’s massive engineering, development, and testing resources, yet maintain the flexibility of a small, efficient group that works under their own set of guidelines. “This is an organization of enthusiasts who truly understand performance and feel they have the best job in the company,” said Dan Knott, director of SRT.

as nice as it is, the biggest dissapointment is the distance between the ground and the body. it's no longer a JEEP, it's a soccer mom vehicle with a little extra power.

i don't think that the srt series is supposed to perform off road... if the normal ones sit just as low, then i'd call it a dissapointment.

WELCOME BACK TO THE HORSE POWER WARS!! Was great in the 60's and 70's and now its back!! Great to see American Muscle making such a hardcore comeback. I think the imports pushed them to get back into this again, and it is a great thing for the buyers.

That jeep is sick!! Love the center exhaust to

So they make a few engines, and use them in all of their new vehicles?

it is lowered an extra inch to give it the stance...it's also 2wd...who in their right mind wants a high clearance 2wd...so you can get stuck in the grass....lol that thing is hot and the center exaust has to be the coolest part...i'd love to see a huge intercooler in the front lower grill....
