    Default Tint ticket to start my day...

    So I hadnt been in valdosta 5 minutes and what happens....local police gets on my ass....I stop at the light(yet to flip on the lights) when the light turned green he pulled me over...telling me that my tint looked too dark...and wondered if I was from "around there"....I said im from atl. just visting my gf..he writes me a 200dollar ticket for illegal tint and told me if I dont get it taken off and he see's me tomarrow or anyday after that he can keep writing me tickets...what kinda bullshit is that? oh yea and apparently I came up in the computer as a "High Rish Violator"....Thought that was kinda funny...BUT WTF?

    I'm pretty sure he can't write you tickets over and over he just wanted to be an asswipe and did he use a meter to test your tint? If not get that shit thrown out.

    yeah, what BTEC said? My car isnt tinted, but I've always wondered how the cops determine your tint it too dark? Do they just look at it, and write up a ticket, or is there some guage they use? If they do actually test it, are there cases where they ASSUME its too dark, only to test it and find out that they're wrong?

    there is this machine they put on ur window and it measures ur tint

    go to court alot of time they will lower the fine. i went for a tint ticket and didnt have to pay.

    you can't write multiple tickets on the same violation until that ticket has been taken to court.

    And "lookin too dark" will get thrown out if you bring it to court.

    Exacry! They have a meter that tests the amount of light that passes through your windows. If he didn't use a tester then go to court it will get thrown out. They can't fine you on just an assumption.

    IF HE DIDNT TEST IT THEN IT WONT HOLD UP. IF U ROLLED UR WINDOW DWN SO HE COULD TEST IT THEN I WILL NEG REP YOU. U ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE UR FUSE EASILY ACCESSIBLE FOR WHEN U NEED TO ROLL UR WINDOW DWN OR TAKE UR CRANK HADLES OFF SO U CANT ROLL UR WINDOWS DWN IF U KNOW UR TINT IS ILLEGAL. LOL!!!

    HAHA! Yeah well first off its a lexus...no such thing as maunal windows...haha! 2nd. No he didnt use a meter. 3rd. He walked around the car and told me that my exhaust is illegal, that my car sits too low..(L-tune lowering springs outta the factory) so fuck him! Also he said that If I get the tint removed before the court date and "can prove it" then they will throw it out. Oh yeah and I was across the street from my gf's house and when he asked where I was going, I pointed and said my gf's place...and he saw her tint which is 5% (mines 15%) on her Grey IS300..and he said "I better not see her leave ne time soon, cuz Ill write her a ticket as well..." Which really pissed me off....Ive gotten too many tickets down there so fuck that...but Im going back down on my court date and fighting it...I really thought it was funny that I came up as High Risk Violator considering Ive only had a few tickets....

    my bad, I meant the MAJORITY of my tickets have been in valdosta. Ive gotten a total of 4 tickets in 4 years of driving(this isnt including parking tickets)....3 of which were in valdosta ..but 2 have not been for a moving violation...and 2 were 18 and 22 over the speed limit....i mean come on..."high risk violator"?
