I know I’ve never asked for money from anyone before, but I am in a dilemma. May 28th I was involved in a motorcycle accident and broke/twisted my foot. Once I went to the emergency room they hit me with the bad news. They told me I have Brokephosis and they would not be able to fix my foot. See, when I twisted my foot 180degrees it altered my veins and arteries in my ankle, so if they tried to twist it back, it would cut off the circulation in my foot and they would have to amputate it. Money wise, I had medical insurance through school, but I took this summer off, so now my insurance is voided, and everything has to come out of my pocket. There are some complications to Brokephosis. When you have your foot twisted like this, It’s a restriction on your veins, so only about half the blood can pass through the foot. The doctors have medication that thins the blood so I would be able to keep my foot, but I can not afford them. They did tell me a cheap alternative to the medication which was alcohol since it thins the blood aswell. And that is what I did. I have to drink about 18-20 beers a day, to keep my foot from starting to tingle. I don’t want to drink this alcohol but its nor stay drunk or lose my foot. Now, where I need help (money wise): I need help buying the Brokephosis pills ($2000) so I don’t have to drink every day. Also I am in need of a wheel chair which is only around $1000, but I really want the electric ones because I am out of shape and my arms are too weak to push my self around. Though the electric ones start off at around 7k. That is all I really need to survive, so any financial help would be greatly appreciated wether it’s $5 or $5000.
