    New York Introduces Bill to Ban Spinner Hubcaps

    In what could be the state’s first step in limiting custom wheel and hubcap options for motor vehicle enthusiasts, legislation (S.B. 4740) that would prohibit the sale and use of motor vehicles equipped with spinner hubcaps has been introduced in the New York State Legislature by State Senator John Sabini ([email protected]). S.B. 4740 would subject vehicle owners to fines of up to $750 for a third or subsequent violation. Those convicted of selling spinner hubcaps can be fined $150 for each violation. The bill has been referred to the Senate Transportation Committee for consideration.

    new york is takin the first step to banning rice....but yea i'm sure they mean the real spinners but how else would a 50 year old rich dude describe them? chrome wheel spinny attachment pieces....lol i'm sure they just consider them hubcaps

    Spinners were NEVER cool.. They are just a way of showing that you have money, but they NEVER looked cool IMO... Ever since I saw the first set I have always thought they were gay.. Except of course for the dude who put spinners on his ATV, now that shit was hilarious, but spinners on a car whether they are real or fake are gay. And incase the El Camino who is always on Barrett Pkwy who has "Tha Import Eater" on his rear window is on here, dude you had one helluva sweet car, but now that you put spinners on your car, you can go sit with the pimped out metros.

    whenever i see spinners at a red light i will get on the pa and go excuse me your spinners just stopped...they never laugh though?

    i was beside a tahoe today on 22's with spinners and the chicks got her gangsta lean goin like she's a pimp but yet even at about 65 mph her spinners were not spinning in the slightest...obviously budget brand

    i never cared much for plain spinners but the ones with the paint matched backing so all you can see is the spinner is cool...seein a car goin 80 but the wheels spinnin about 20mph just looks trippy

    The bottom part of the "spinner" is weighted so they dont spin at all so it looks like the car is floating.

    It's funny to see people come in the shops here that have the floaters and try to spin them and they just rock back and forth for about 15 minutes haha.
