Car enthusiasts views on Drugs
I was just wondering what people in automotive enthusiast circles think of drugs, both light and hard. I ask because in my area most of the people whom I know that are into cars, love to drink and smoke pot, and also take pills and do coke. While some of the people I know in Houston aren't really into it, so I'm just kind of wondering how it is in the greater Atlanta area.

Everyone is different. Like me i used to do everything you post but for a while have been taking it easy, and well on probation but everyone in my car club are clean except for like 2 that smoke pot and 1 that does a little bit more hard core things. Almost everyone drinks in the club tho. But really i dont think there is a difference in car enthusiast and non car enthusiast with drug usage.

If you have to turn to a drug, hard or not to have a good time, there is something psychologically wrong with you. I am not downing people who do drugs or drink or what ever. This is just a personal feeling so dont take it to heart.

I dont condone the use of drugs neither do i disagree with the use of drugs, if its such a "free country" then it really shouldnt matter what people think, drugs is something that has made america what it is today.

Drugs are bad mkay...naw but I dont smoke, drink, none of it. My choice. I know people that do, and hang around them, and dont care, but I dont. I think it might be because my close friend died from driving drunk, I know her choice was bad, but still... I dont think it really matters if you are a car enthusiasts or not, if you do them you do.
I think weed is ok, and should be legal. I quit burning about a year and a half ago, but I just started again b/c of a lot of stress on me. I will quit again in about a week or two.

for real. its just not that important to me personally. im not saying i dont drink on occasion but i dont make it a habbit to like get plastered every night. i dont do drugs though, just not worth it to me. responsibilty is the most important thing though

Seriously, I have many pothead friends, and I recently got a little dismayed by the whole thing when one of them told me he would rather get high than bang a hot chick. There's something seriously wrong with that picture.

most people do it when they're young...some people grow out of it and get tired of some don't. i still drink but its to get drunk and that only happens like once a month. there's too much fun shit going on to sit at a bar/home and get shitfaced. i'd rather be out.

its not that drugs are over rated, it when people gloryify drugs and gloryify the prohibition on drugs...America is behind most countries in drug prohibition because we havent figured out there is absolutley no way to put a ban on any kind of drugs. If people want to do drugs, they will do drugs ignoring rules and laws.

Did that stuff when I was much younger and it was never anywhere near as cool as people made it out to be. Never worth it and I have no desire at all to ever do any of it again. (drugs, that is) Don't want to be around it either, I have too much sense to hang around sketchy ass people.
I drank a LOT in college and wish I had a little less. I still drink here and there but it's not something I need and very rarely get drunk. A good mixed drink or wine can be good with dinner but getting trashed is for rare occasions.

i drink on occasion, and smoke cigs like its out of style, but that's about it. never was into the whole "lets get high" shit. like others have said, thats a lot of money to go into my car.
