    I pretty new to posting on here but this was a BS ticket
    Illegal Improper Exhaust IN SMYRNA not barrett !!!!!

    I have cats and o2 sensor on my 95 talon !! Im fighting it anyone else had this problem ever?

    If you passed emissions I dont see why you couldnt fight the ticket??

    yea they might try to get u for that but just tell the judge that there was no way for the cop to properly check the decibels in ur exhaust unless he took ur car to a sound proof place were the noise from outside could not alter the test. I did this and got out of the ticket.

    Note its not rice its got a purpose apexi full downpipe down.
    but im trying to get an officer i know to get the ticket dropped before then

    nah, emisions dont check sound and there is a law i beleive on how many decibels its can be.

    holy shit... I didnt know that. Mine was measured 123db at a shop (at WOT), and thats with a magnaflow setup.

    Yup this man speaks the truth, I told the solicitor that there is no way to say that my car is legally too "loud" and so he threw it out, about 2 weeks ago.

    put a sliencer in it and record it then take that to court. case dismissed.

    Not trying to stray from the topic, but I hydroplaned last week into a tree and totalled my car. I picked up my police report and they charged me with driving too fast for conditions. Can they charge me with that if NO one witnessed my accident? I really wouldn't give a damn, but my insurance company is giving me hell about it. Any suggestions?

    u were obviously driving too fast for conditions, u wrecked! lol its up to the cop what he sights you for, their has to be a fault in any accident. same exact thing happened to me except i got 3 tickets: too fast for conditions, leaving the road way(WTF!!), and striking a fixed object(alsoWTF!!), so consider yourself lucky. in hine sight i would have gotten my car towed to my house and claimed a no fault accident in the morningwith my insurance, and never called the cop. lesson learned: cops are useless

    Well I wouldn't have called the cops except I sustained some pretty bad injuries. Those are some bullshit charges though.

    ya i didnt even know you could get a ticket in an accident for leaving the roadway, or hitting a fixed object?! i thought that happened in every accident!!

    I got a ticket for loud muffler and I went to court well the first time I went the officer wasnt there cuz some family relative died and they didn't dismised the charge so they make me come back, next time I went the officer wasn't there again cuz thats when the huricane hit new orleans so the officer left to help, still didn't dismised the charges so I went back for the third time and finally the officer was there well just because I try to fight the ticket they got upset and the judge found me guilty because of the stupid solicitor who ask the judge for a $1000 fine for wasting their time so the judge decide to give me a fine of $300, if I would it pay the ticket before would it be $75 but because I fight it ending up paying $300 and actually they can charge you up $1000 per citation everything depends on the judge but smyrna police is the worst police I ever deal with it
