The game resets every night at about 12:10 am. Usually QD changes the topic when he gets home from work, around 5 or 6ish in the evening.

If you're doing it at 12:10 or so you're doing the current day's game. If you're doing them at 11:55 or so it's the day before's game.

QD resets the trivia topics, not the game itself. That's done and scored automatically by the company. If you ever try and play at like 12:05 it will tell you that it's scoring the end of the day's results and to come back later.

When you play at 12:10, you're playing the current game's day (because we all know that at midnight the date changes, correct?). Notice that nobody else has played? It's a brand-new game.
