my celica went boom
yeah so i was pulling out of quiktrip today and i shifted into second gear at like 4000 rpm and chirped a little bit and then a couple seconds later i hear like a metal ping from the back of the car. like a peice of metal bounced up and hit my car. so i'm thinking that was really weird cuz i didn't see anything in the road but then i get like 2 miles down the road and go to downshift into 2nd to pull into a neighborhood and i go to excellerate and it does nothing. i could hear something flapping around so first thing i think is. transmission just exploded. so i pull over and look underneath and there is tranny fluid pooring out. so i'm thinking aight this sucks but whatever it's a gt tranny on a 3sgte. and i knew it was messed up cuz it had almost 200k miles on it and it sucked heh. but anyways i call my dad and ask him to help me get a tow truck cuz i'm broke and he comes down there and he ended up pulling it home behind his truck. i knew it was a stupid ass idea but i had no choice. so it turns out the axle bracket that goes into the block, the bolts completely broke off the block and are stuck inside. so the axle fell out of the tranny and that's why it was leaking. since we pulled it home though the axle was slapping against my block the whole time and was somewhat spinning in the tranny at an angle. so right now i don't know if the tranny is fucked and if that axle is still going to work. but i'm about to pull it all off and see what the situation is. but i might need to buy an mr2 tranny and drill out these broken off bolts...so this blows... lemme know any sugestions and i might need someone to sell me a cheap tranny soon.
