There were 3 guys on a road trip. its getting late so they decide to stop at a cheaper motel. the sign in the front says $30/night. So they all split the bill and each guy pays $10. So as the bell boy is taking the men up to the room, the cashier downstairs realizes hes made a mistake and the room was actually $25. So the cashier gives the bell boy $5 and says "take this up to their room, i charged them too much" as the bell boy is walking up the stairs he thinks to himself, $5 doesnt split evenly between 3 people so i'll give them each a dollar and keep 2 for myself. The bell boy tells the men the cashier has made a mistake and hands each of the men a dollar. and keeps the extra 2 for himself. Now the men came into the hotel and each paid $10 and they have each recieved $1 back from the cashier so they've paid $9 each. if they each paid $9 and the bell boy has kept $2, that adds up to $29, who has the extra dollar??
