    Yousef helped plan the bombing of the New York World Trade Center (WTC) in February of 1993. This terrorist act resulted in the murder of six innocent people and injured over 1,000 others. The blast caused millions of dollars in damage. After the bombing, he fled the United States to avoid arrest.
