Like I said before: *going on what I read here* If Derek truly did want Sara and only Sara, he would have ended the PMs then and there (and he should have told Sara about the very first one so that there would be no surprises). That's the thing about serious relationships: you have to be open with your partner. For the PMs to continue going back and forth is rather suspicious and they don't seem "one sided" if you know what I mean.

I've never met you (I don't think), but you seem like a good woman with a good head on her shoulders. If it is down the drain, it's better that it happened now rather then after (if) you get married. Chalk it up as a learning experience. You said so yourself: you can get other guys.
