Default an odd question just popped to mind.

Why do military folks and people in the WBC have the american flag patch on there arm backwards (stripes on the left, stars on the right)? I've noticed it here and there and just made me wonder.

The stars are supposed to always face forward. So its only backwards on the right shoulder. Supposed to give the effect that the flag is blowing in the wind.
