Cobalier spotted..

it's not just j-body owners that are defensive about their cars, it's everyone... I'm defensive about my car to a certain extent, however, I'm smart enough to recognize that it is slow, however, I have raced it, I have won and I have lost... I know how to drive my car and I know when and when not to talk about my car... The guy with the "cobalier" is a dumb ass, plain and simple.

right, and im not defending him when i say this, but some people are like that.they like to keep you guessing. like my friend drives a integra 4dr. if you asks what engine he has in his car, he'll say "oh it's just an LS", but in really he has a b18c1. and if you ask what do you have done, he'll say " just intake and full exhaust", but he has alot more done than that.

the integra thing is different, most people who actually have a lot of stuff done will lie about what they have and sandbag. but he was telling someone he already had a swap which put him at the top of the mod ladder (well for j bodies that is). telling someone you just have a v6 mustang but really you can a blown 5.0 is a little different because you have the shit to back up your "lie"

the kid is full of shit, he says he was trading the car in but i have seen him driving around everywhere ever since the supposed trading in of the car. anytime you would ask him if he had the motor he would say "oh i swapped it back to stock" WHO THE FUCK SWAPS MOTORS 4 TIMES IN A MONTH?!

we(me, halfbaked, and 1439/2000) tried to call this kid out many times on barrett. matt went up to his window one night and asked him to see the motor and race and the kid just drove off.

^^^ its not our problem you drive slow domestic compact cars :) The cavalier is and has ALWAYS been a piece of shit. even the Z24 or Z34 whatever it is, they were OK, but no where neear as reliable or as fast as a CIVIC SI or GSR. and they always had shitty plastic interiors.

The cobalt, while its cool they offer them with boost, is NOT anything to be bragging about. they make what an RSX makes ALL MOTOR. so where is the "technoligical genious" behind it? i dont see it.

the only domestic 4 banger i have respect for is the SRT4, dodge got it right on that one.

beating a 190HP Mustange V6, is nothing to brag about. thats like filling your tankl with gas, its, well, its something every car can do, you just dont brag about it.

$18,000 car with warranty
with BOLT ons it can make 300whp EASY
with major bolt ons (turbo and manifold) can make 420whp+

factory performance upgrades (mopar stage 1-3)

for 18K , theres hardly a faster car out there for the price tag.

Oh and please show me where i can buy a Jackson Racing Supercharger for a 2.2 ECOTEC because as far as i know they dont make one, for any cavalier motor for that matter, the 2.0 ECOTEC/ 2.2 ECOTEC/ or the 2.4
