I guess I'll put in my 2 cents also.
I used to smoke for about 2 years and never had a problem with it. It helped me relax and just get my head clear. Just smoke a little bit and do my homework with a focused attitude like Chris mentioned. I will be clean for exactly 1 year on February 25. I also know a guy that lived in Ohio and got pulled over and only got a ticket for possession. I think all states should set a limit on how much you should have before you get arrested. I personally think we are spending too much time and money and trying to catch every single person doing drugs. We have people committing worse crimes than having just some weed on you. Hell half a gram put me in cuffs. Thats .5 grams, thats like a little packet of sugar.
I just think that the government should set a limit on how much is legal if they aren't going to legalize it. There are people in jail for years because of possession while we have people stealing and killing and we aren't catching these guys as much as we are catching people for possession. Most people that smoke can handle themselves and know their limit. You can smoke and still do all your days activites fine. I know people that have great careers and still have a little smoke every once in awhile.
Thats just a little bit of my opinion.

one of the main reasons pot isnt legal is due to the difficulty of taxing it. people can say that the government could grow it and sell it but that isnt practical due to the fact that once you bought some you have seeds. and it is easy to grow. (unlike tobacco, which is really labor intensive). until they can figure out a way to stop others from growing it, it will stay illegal.
in my personal opinion, do whatever you want. just dont leave your house. coke, x, weed, etc. i couldnt careless what you put into YOUR body, just dont put other people at risk. (this is why i dont see smoking pot in public ever being legal...second hand high)
i must say i have never done a drug (minus alcohol). i have been around people who have done everything under the sun and i must say that i have seen lots of bad choices occur because of the influences of drugs (including alcohol). so i say do whatever makes you happy as long as you dont endanger others. take home message, nothing good ever came from drugs. be safe.
