315mm wide to one manufacturer is different to others v.WTF?

It never ceases to amaze me. One manufacture says "315mm" and another says "315mm". However, one is 1/2-3/4" wider than the other. I understand the differences, but shit... If you say 315mm, mean 315mm! It's not hard to understand. If you say 315mm, don't mean 305mm or 325mm. Go fucking figure.

Because of my tire size, I am limited in manufacturers. There are only 3 manufactures that make sizes for my rear tires (315/25/19) and only two of them are sold in the states...

Yokohama AVS Sports (imported only - not sold in the US)

I had the Yoko AVS sports as they came with my wheel package. Now it was time to replace. The Yokos can only be ordered from overseas and because of the euro-dollar conversion, they are a rip-off. There are better performing tires. The Michelin were backordered, but I have heard issues about balancing troubles. The Contis are OEM manufacturers for my car, so I went with them.

315mm AVS Sports (close) vs 315mm ContiSportContact 2 (far) - do the AVS Sports look worn enough? I think that I have too much toe-out. I will get that fixed.

the 295 Conti's are as wide as a 315. Alot of guys are running them on CCW's. They had some redeisgn not too long ago, not sure why.

Actually, a friend of mine works there. He is the ONLY person that I trust to do the job correctly. He does and incredible job and that is what counts. You gotta go where you trust the people...

Mike and he isn't a manager at all. Yes, you had the location right. He does many Porsche 911 setups (turbo, non-turbo) as well as Viper. Putting a 25 series tire on correctly, without damaging the wheel, is an art.

yo playboy....that's all I ever did. I had a guy with a red turbo 911 that followed me from 4 stores to work on his car, only because I did everything by hand....and a couple Viper guys liked my attention to detail.....it's a pain in the ass working on high dollar tires and wheels....so I know how it is.

My camber is only at -1.5. I do believe that it is a "toe out" issue. That will kill your tires more than camber if it is bad enough.

They actually have them again? Pirelli had them out for a while, but then removed them from the market I thought. Maybe I'll look at them again, but Pirelli's are notorious for shity wear...very soft tires.

Ey ruiner I dont know if you know him but he's the instructor for Porsches Driving School. I dont know the model but Im sure you would know. His car is silver and has the Optional Aero Kit, Porches 3 Piece Rims, Twin Turbo setup with the exhaust and intake and Blistien Shocks. I just met him today...and he has the 315 and my god i put my whole hand in the rear lip of his rims....I envy you porsche drivers.
