The story of LATER, QD...

I get asked often if I end every post with Later, QD.. Yes I do. Every board I have been on, for some reason, I have done it. I have been told that it is annoying. So? I don't care. I don't do it to please nor annoy anyone. It is just habit now. Well, I've often been asked how/why I started using it. Well, i will now attempt to answer this age old question.

I don't know where it came from. I do remember back in 2000-01, being in an MSN Community chatroom(called ChatAtlanta) for a while and when I was ready to leave the room, I would say a cussword to get booted by the Chatbot. Then I would sign off by typing: I have been brought to you by Dell Computers, Talk America Internet Services and by the number 7, followed by a cussword to get booted. After that, I started with the LATER, QD. thing. It seems to have just stuck.

Here is the LINK to the first recorded posting of my famous tag-line. Notice the date as June of 2002. You can see I was using it then, too. It's now been modernized with the invention of digital imagery as shown in the below picture:

I just looked at the old records. The old forumco forum was started on 8/27/2000. The first members joined 04/27/2001. I joined 05/23/2001.
