    ACTUALLY...the meaniest thing you can do to them is say "can you hold on?" and just put the phone down.

    I use to work for MCI...well, like maybe 4 days.....but we had no way of ending a call....because you just sit in front of a computer with a headset and the computer automatically does all the calling for you, and they did not want you hanging up on people....so if let's say the person went looking for a purse for about 5-8 mins, there was nothing you could do about it, but sit.


    so, if a telemarketer calls....just tell them to "hold on" and go watch tv or do whatever you please!
