Importatlanta is supposed to be a car community... for car enthus. within the metro atlanta area. It doesnt make sense to me that things NOT pretaining to cars is above the shit that actually has to do with cars. And the places that actually do have to do with cars... rarely gets posted on. IE: general tech, kills (there is actually alot on there but im making a point), all motor, FI, audio/video...etc.etc. Off-topic, is above the car forums/make/clubs.... I mean "IA knows drama" and all but shit- ITS A CAR FORUM! Id like someone to really explain this to me other than getting some smart ass reply or whatever... its a serious question... it doesnt make sense the way the whole forum is set up. I didnt have computer access when Paul was asking for suggestions about 2006. So here's my question/and or possible suggestion as to making this whole forum site worth someones time.

(reason for asking: I have a friend that just moved to ATL for a short pr. of time, and he registered on here cause i suggested the forum to him along with several others...he brought up the whole topic- and I agreed. So I figured id try and see what the deal was)

you sir, need to think about something...... that forum simply says religion. wether you believe in jesus, buddah, muhammed, or none of the above, religion is something you believe. if you believe they dont exist, then guess what.... thats a belief. so classify it as religion. i dont think its biased. as far as yougetting in trouble, i didnt see it. but as with all the other sub-forums on here, its open as long as you dont start attacking other members. so just relax and enjoy your stay

If you look, the forum is broken down into ALL types of forums. Yes this is a car forum, but also more important its for the PEOPLE into the car thing, and guess what? We dont ALWAYS just think about cars, there is alot more in life we do also, which is why there are so many other forums on here for other topics. If you are so unhappy about the non-car talk then just stay in the CAR TALK sections, thats the best I can suggest.

thats a good point i mean IA touches all bases for instance you said you told your friend about this site that was a good move cause your friend would learn more about not only cars but ATL in general. there are people who stay all over atl in this forum i for one support the way its set up. when i moved to atl last year this is how i learned about the city and met some cool peeps. but to each its own you dont like then, yeah you can always click the lil red X at teh top right of the screen

i agree with what most of yall are saying..its the cars that brought us here.... and hoenstly, ive learned a lot about cars from this site, its brings you closer to people, and then you can(ifyou want) start to have private conversations with them. whether you meet up..or talk on AIM and can even learn more about cars that way too. i KNOW for a fact that my car wouldnt be where it is now if it wasnt for IA. and for people helping me with my questions, or telling me where to take my car....

Same goes for me....I had a million questions when I first joined this site...and I found it by accident. I have always had a thing for imports, and then I ended up on here. I needed help with my Pro, I got it...but the car didnt turn out too well...but people were really eager to help, and that what makes this site great. Adding to that, the off-topic forums are there for a reason: to have off topic discussions. You get tired of talking about cars all the time and sometimes you want to meet the people on the other side of the monitor....thats why its set up the way it is. usually when i want technical information on my car or anything i just go on the mr2 board just like most people on the importatlanta...they dont really use ia when they have mechanical problems or anything because most cars have forums dedicated for that purpose......

I like ia because of the fun factor....and everyone is closer becuase we all know eachother or have met eachother in some way...Most people use importatlanta as more of a social thing, like meets and events and shit like that........
