4 wheeler warranty.... please help

well i took my 4 wheeler up to honda about 3 weeks ago cause of the smoking issue... i finally got a call today and they say its got mud in the engine and that isnt covered under the warranty... so i say well is a 4 wheeler not made for offroad use? and she said well the warranty only covers error in workmanship when it was made, or some crap like that... she said the total to fix it would run me a little over $1000 dollars and i said ill call you back.... this thing only has 200 miles on it and its a 2004... does anyone have any info that would help me out? i even bought the honda protection plan which is an extended warranty... this is bullshit... ive never even had this thing in deep mud or anything...

they just dont want to do it
A dealer that wants to get paid for the work will do it
