    I was browsing 3si.org earlier and I was wondering. Do you still have this license plate frame?

    lol it made me laugh a little bit when I saw the name in there.

    One of ~680 VR-4s made in '97, so it was very rare. There are "less" exotic cars on that site. I didn't put it there anyway. I got an email from the website owner and he asked me if he could use my pics. I said sure and the rest is history.

    There are plenty of 3 and 5 series BMWs, many Mercedes, 300ZX's, Supras, etc on the site.

    ricky i am ashamed you even made a simple joke out of that. the car was well respected and also very well kept. therefore some people liked it. there are some hondas on the exotic site, but dont find humor in that please.

    Scrappy no need to be ashamed, I don't usually see those cars on that site? I dont look there too often but you can probably count the Hondas/imports/fords etc on one hand..

    ^ thought a selct few of GTOs were sold here? i hear there were only about 40 of em.


    all that is factory besides the stickers n wheels. that one is in florida.

    Yes, that is Marshal's '99 3000GT VR-4, not GTO. No GTO was sold in the US else you would see the right hand drive.

    Mitsu couldn't use "GTO" in the states because of Pontiac's trademark. However, they did not have that trademark overseas. Now, my 3000GT VR-4 HAD a Japanese GTO ECU, so that is why I switched the letters...

    No.

    The FTO is a JDM FWD piece of garbage and a completely different car from a GTO/3000GT.

    Silvia=240SX
    Soarer=SC300
    as does the GTO=3000GT

    Correct. They couldn't use GTO in the US (cause of Pontiac), so they took the name 3000GT... engine size = 3000 (3.0L) and GT = grand touring (tourismo) much like the GTO (gran turismo omologato) in Japan.

    Same car, just different name for the most part.
