I've been on about 5 different cruises with Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian.
I like the Carnival atmosphere the best with Royal Caribbean hitting a close second. Carnival is going to appeal to alot more people on this board, IMO. I went on the Destiny when it first came out and was the largest ship a while back, but I haven't kept up to date with ships recently. I believe RC has taken the largest ship award as of late.
Carnival is also going to be better suited to people's budgets as well. We can definietly caravan to the port as well, which should save a bit of money.
Keep in mind you're gunna have to budget tipping, on shore excursions, shopping, alcohol, etc. I forget what it amounted to, but there definitely alot of people to tip, waiter, busboy, maitre'd, cleaning lady, etc. Excursions book up pretty quickly too if everybody wants to get on the same excursion, probably be best to decide beforehand.
Then you have to get an updated passport, and small shit like that.
Hope this come through.

$429 per person for inside room - no view.
This is the best deal I found. We could fly/drive to Tampa, but in the end, it is more expensive for the trip. The actual cruise is cheaper though.
Im looking at around a 4 hour drive to Mobile. Park at the port. Load ship..have fun..come back to only around a 4 hour trip back to atlanta.
I'm still looking though.
BTW..its our 7 year anniversary, so I want to make it a surprise to Annie. I want to book now and just go ahead and pay for it and be done with it.
Let us know if you want/need any help, we can most likely find what you need, www.cruisesalon.com .
^yo chef hook it up. i had gotten so busy and forgotten about it. thanx all for keeping it going. It was established that we want to go for 5 days on a caribbean. hitting maybe 3 or so ports. Carnival crusie line. Thanks in advance.
