No, really think of the ways they are similar...they really are a lot alike....

Both are built to seek other peoples approval
    Both are pretty much undriveable
    Both perform worse than stock
Both were built solely to get attention(car show judges or the intranetz)
Both are lacking cotton in the wheel wells(as Echo said lol)

My license doesn't miss the old days.

My insurance company misses me paying those rates for a crappy CRX though I'm sure.

Indeed. You aren't shit in the import scene if you've never owned a set...

Those are scans of pics. Digital cameras were for pussies that couldn't handle a 35mm back then. Plus I couldn't afford one.

How is that functional? You can't drift that Civic with those skinny rear wheels.

Go to Cordele and you'll know, max grip up front + stock SEs out back = KA24derifts.

    Fundamentally, it's the same thing.

It's sad but so many people try so hard to fit in with the majority. Im sure we all "think" we build our cars for ourselves, but when you're following the current fad/trend/movement are you really building it for yourself or just to fit in?

Personally, the way I modify cars is to be be driven, hard, at its limit, and you just can't do that with the oil pan/exhaust/body of the car 1" above the pavement. I mean what's the point of spending thousands of dollars into a car only to drive it to parking lot meets-only to arrive, park, and have a myriad of guys you don't know tell you your ride is sick...

Not another baseless generalization from you. You're making this a habit, dude. Those $800 lug nuts have got your head kind of fucked up.
