Those of you whom've recieved window tint citations.

I just found out how much my citation cost for my window tint. $75. How much were yours? I'm not complaining or anything. Just courious if mine's expensive or not.

My buddy took a picture of a officer's own car and police car that has tint and he hasnt done shit about it and took it to court showed it to the judge and he won and doesnt have to take the tint off.

how dark is your tint...I have 5% and i've sat next to Snellville cops at red lights...they dont even bat an eye my way...kinda hurts my feelings lol. Nah I don't want a tint citation knock on wood.

I got one right as the law was put back on. i got mine in Gwinnett and it was $54.00. The best part was, the lady we called at the Justice Center did not even know the law was back on. I think I got a deal!!

that proves it then, that is what he enjoys doing. I talked with several other Forsyth co sherriffs they all said they dont pull for tint, kinda funny when a Sherriff tells you you got a BS ticket. Mine was a $75 fine, I got no warning other than no proof of insurance.

i bet he's full of shit too...the law/code directly says (since 1988/89) that it does not apply to government vehicles or limo's.

mine was $55. in my experiance the only ppl who give a damn about tint is atlanta police...ive had it on every car since i was 15...2 tickets, both APD

The only way he knows your windows are tinted is if he sees them up. IF you roll them down before you pass them or if you see them coming up on you from a distance, put them down before they get close enough to see them.

i got one about two months ago from kennesaw state university police it was $71 but i paid it to cobb county....the officer that pulled me over was like "well its nothing you have to worry about just pay the fine, its not that big of a deal" ok then well why did you waste your time pulling me over? i was driving thru the middle of campus.


i just got another one last week from woodstock police, my friend told me his from woodstock police was $70 but he went to court and told them he took it off and said he didnt drive the car b/c the motor blown so they cut it down to $35

Suwanee tagged me 3 times for it...the first two times was by the same cop...Originally pulled me over just to see the car because he said he hadn't seen it around before That was fine, it was when i first got it and the honda/acura car theft thing had just started going up skyhigh in the N. Gwinnett area. Told him i just bought the car...no tickets. The second time he pulled me over was the following week after I painted the wheels black and he walked up, saw me, then laughed, said sorry didn't recognize the car, then i told him about the wheels and he walked away...

BUT, the third time was the charm with a rolling road block barely a 1/2 mile from my old office in Suwannee. Just sitting in rushhour traffic on a Friday afternoon at the corner of Satellite and L'ville/Suwannee and one cop was standing in the middle of the road hand selecting cars for tint and seatbelts/child seat violations. etc....I was one of the lucky winners and got the $91.50 ticket. He was dick too. I spent hours taking the tint and adhesive off, took pictures, and the solicitor gave me the 1/2 off sale on the ticket....1 week later the supreme court ruled the tint law unconstitutional. I was pissed...no tint and i was out $35 Should've gone back and asked for a refund.

It's all bullshit too b/c i had a light mirror tint on my 300zx and never once got pulled over or recieve a ticket for it over 4 years and 60k+ miles, grrr.
