Have I ever mentioned I hate vague out-of-the-circle bitch ass threads??

If you're going to make a call out... Then call the fucker out. Don't make a weaker thread than my 7 yr old daughter would make.

Good mpg's is subjective... I get 10 mpg's in my 8.1 dually (not towing), which sucks compared to the 24 mpg mini-van, which sucks next to the 32 mpg Miata, which sucks next to to 100 mpg moped.

I get 6.4 mpg on my work truck (probably like you) and I don't know how much in my Civic. I go to the gas station in that car about once every 3 weeks. Later, QD.

I wish I got 6.4 in my Volvo... But I have no idea on that, because of my work it spends most of it's time idling.

    2001 and I just hit 100,000 miles.

It gets right at 29-31 mpg interstate. Around 22 mpg city. Not bad for a car that ran a 13.1 @ 108 on a hot summer night on the stock tires. I'm kinda scared to have the EGR/air pump/o2 sensor SES light fixed and a tune because it runs so good.

Is your Volvo a VN model? You can check your mpg through the digital display screen.

That's excellent gas mileage for a TA (V8, right?). Like I said, I never would have guessed. Later, QD.

Yes, sir. 5.7 liter V8. Regardless of what a lot of people say, GM did a great job with the LS1/T56/3.42 gear combo. It takes some easy driving city, but I can do anywhere from 55-85mph on the interstate and average about the same.

I have the screen... But again, I drive for 30 min (average) and then sit on-site for 24 hr (if it's hot/cold outside the truck is idling for the climate control).

I don't do the typical truck driver routine.

The LS1 in stock form is known for being a dog out of the hole but having great top end. I don't know anything about a S281, though.
