It's a good way to get to know someone without the physical attraction getting in the way...you know, when you meet someone on the street usually you're not like "hrmm, i wonder if we have anything in common?"...it's normally, "damnnn, i'm gonna hit that like a pam and tommy video"...but online it's the exact opposite, you can get to know someone relatively personally then when you do meet it's like you've known each other for years.
...it has nothing to have to do with being desperate but I think the phone chats and personal ads and match maker websites are borderline desperation though. Don't need to go that far..especially if you have a hobby, it's cars for most of us, then you just go to corresponding websites and work from there...then go to meets and events, etc. Speaking of that, who was the blonde I put the wristband on the other night? She looks like trouble....and sometimes trouble can be fun to get into ;)
