bonded title questions..
im thinking about trading my hatch for a ae86.
the owner says that hes going through the title bonding process..
(already paid for just waiting for it to come in the mail)
is it ok for us to go ahead and trade?
if i hold on to my title and wait for his to come in. with a bill of sale is it possible for me to get insurance to drive it?
i know you have to have the title in order to get a tag but there's the 30 day waiting period right?

I would of just waited for him to have the title ready. That car isnt THAT important to get all tied up into that stuff. If he wants to trade then he will. I personally wouldnt do anything till I could legally own the car. Since for whatever reason, people are all out to get one another.

I never trust another guy when it comes to anything dealing with money or bitches. Wait 'till he has the title in hand, because it seems like it's "been in the mail" for a while now.
Get something in writing and you should be fine.... I mean its not necessarily a bad thing, situation is understandable.
I actually have a bonded title on my ae86. I would honestly wait till he has it, because when you do the bond they give you the option to actually drive to Hapeville the same day to pick the title up. Ae's are easy to come by, so Id wait if I were you.

i wrote on the bill of sale if the title doesnt come in the mail within 30 days the original owners of each car will gain their cars back
if anything happends to either car the damages have to be repaired by the buyer.
fucked myself over b/c the crank pulley destroyed itself on the way home..
i test drove it for over 30 minutes it ran perfect i think the pully may have just been rusted up and when being ran for so long finally just gave out
it ran fine untill i got halfway home and then the ebrake light and the batt light came on and then the car died =(

car has little things that piss me off.. gas gauge doesnt work.. oil pressure doesnt work, heat doesnt work(gonna try to remove the thermostat) , drivers door doesnt work..
and now it leaks oil..
it drives sooo smooth tho lol
and its got rust!.. sucks but i think where the front bumper goes can just come off nothing but nuts and bolts holding it on i think..
Like John said, welcome to the world of old cars. Its just stuff you will have to work out as time goes away. As far as the heat goes, unplug the hoses from the heater core, and run some water through it. It could just be clogged.

no idea but it registers as a title that can be tagged
