Before I say anything in this post, I want to let it be known that I consider Brandon (BKGen) a friend and my personal feelings towards his gf are just that.
So I will outline the course of events that have led me to the fact that AdriScionTC is 100 percent psycho. And shes going around saying I scammed her and mislead her in a purchase. Well here you go kiddos, the entire course of events:
Approximately Wednesday afternoon of last week, I decided to post my laptop up for sale. The laptop I had purchased from Best Buy directly. Now I would post a screenshot
of my actual listing on my Facebook profile but I had removed it soon after I had sold it and delivered it to Adrienne. The posting of the laptop ad went approximately like this:
---
Fast laptop! For sale. HP Core-i3/ 500GB HD/ 4GB RAM
Here is the link to the laptop and its specs!
http://www.amazon.com/G62-144DX-Note.../dp/B003AOPV02
---
A lot of you on my Facebook probably even remember me posting it! I already have a few people that can vouch for this ad and the link I posted.
Either way, Adrienne showed great interest in the laptop for the price of $500 and she said consider it sold!
Like many other electronic transaction Ive made ( people know I go through a lot of electronics!) I always try to sell it at a fair market price and often times much lower.
The laptop was obviously valued at a current Amazon.com rate of 699.00. So I thought it would be fair to sell it for 200 cheaper.
So not expecting a fast transaction like that, I was pressed for time to get personal and other data belonging to other companies off the laptop, including magazine companies that I have shot for in the past. The morning of our meeting I start the data transfer, but was only able to complete about 50 percent of it because she wound up showing up early. With this in mind, at the time of the transaction I let her know this fact, and she agrees to burn the rest of the data/photos/files onto DVDs at which at some other point in time in the future she would provide the discs to me. Thinking that I knew her, and I know Brandon, I did not see any problem with this. We all have hung out many times before without any issue. We do the transaction, I provide the laptop, and she provides the cash payment. On top of this I also provide her a way to retrieve a warranty for the laptop by providing her my Best Buy Reward Zone number to obtain the reciept and provide a proof of purchase to follow through on an Extended Warranty. She is supposedly so pleased with the purchase she posts her "thanks" on my facebook wall.
All is well right? Sign off on another clean transaction? Not quite...
Here are the text messages that ensue:
On July 10th at 7:30 in the morning she sends this:
"Hey I hate to do this, but I didnt realize the computer had an on board graphics card. I thought the specs said something about a graphics card with dedicated memory. Is there anyway I could trade you back"
I respond that a refund isnt really possible since the cash already had went towards other things. ( And quite honestly I feel your ignorance isnt my fault, and you not reading the specs of the machine isnt my fault either)
Now dont get me wrong, Im not an unreasonable person, and those that know me, know that.
Later on she texts me this:
"LOL Well it puts me in a bad position too cause now I got to get another one, I will just throw it on craigslist. Tis all good"
She then inquires about the model number again and I send her the link to the amazon listing of the same laptop. Then this is where things start to get interesting in texts:
- Basically according to the reciepts the laptop was purchased for 530 at the time approximately 1.5 months ago. This price was due to reward zone discounts, credits, etc. I beleive the laptop would have come out around 600 with tax without any of this.
Adrienne sees this, as she tried to return the laptop at Best Buy and gets upset with me because my purchase price wasnt the same as the retail price on Amazon.
"I am not concered how much you paid [for another laptop], what I am upset about is that you told me you got this for more than you did..."
I think to myself:
NO WHERE DID I SAY ANYTHING ABOUT BUYING IT FOR THE AMAZON PRICE. EVEN IF I GOT THE LAPTOP FOR FREE ITS NOBODYS BUSINESS HOW MUCH I PAID. I SIMPLY LISTED IT FOR 200 LESS THAN MARKET VALUE. I COULD HAVE WON THE LAPTOP AS A PRICE, DO YOU EXPECT IT FOR FREE? ALSO, IF I WAS OUT TO SCAM SOMEONE AND MISLEAD WHY WOULD I GIVE YOU ACCESS TO THE ORIGINAL RECIEPT!
So a couple more text messages go by and I feel like because I have met her before and she is Brandons girlfriend that I dont want her feeling this way so I offer:
"Would you be fine with me refunding you 100 dollars? Is that fair? I wasn't trying to cheat you, that laptop still goes for 700"
There you have it, on Saturday I ask her basically if she wants to purchase a Core-i3 Laptop with 500GB of HD space, 4GB of RAM, and an LED Screen for 400 bucks. And she responds back with:
" How about just letting me know who else was interested in it when you were selling it"
She basically throws my offer back in my face and says Fuck You.
During this entire encounter I explain this to Brandon, and no Im not going to throw him under the bus here but I explained to him entirely above what I just said. Even though I do not owe her jack shit, on Sunday I felt like in order to appease things that I would just offer her the 100 dollars back as even she said she would just call it even.
I was all fine with doing this until I heard that she basically decided to "get back at me" by deleting all my data that I had asked her to retain. This to me was completely unacceptable as that data was not entirely mine but also the intellectual property of two other magazine companies for services rendered and paid in full to me. Now Im stuck in the horrible position to try and explain this even though the original buyer entered into a verbal agreement with me to provide the data.
Now here is the kicker. She went around telling people that I mislead her, scammed her, and even lied. I find this posting on craigslist
http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/sys/1836859977.html
* I have this screen shotted as well just in case it gets deleted later*
She lists the laptop as she bought it for 700 from Best Buy and is selling the laptop for 500 with full knowledge that she thinks shes going to get another 100 back as well. Sorry you werent able to profit off of me.
I have also been informed that the laptop did sell on CL and my data is no longer retreiveable.
So there you have it kids, other than the bullshit going on Facebook and her having Brandon delete myself and a few others as friends on Facebook, thats all she wrote.
Have an awesome day.
