engine of course, but thats me,

however to begin with i woudl of bought a DSM, no need for an engine swap, and for what you bought your car for and do the engine swap, its still faster stock lol

But on a real note, whats hte compression on the engine? are you wantign to turbo? etc you might be able to stick with yours

when you rebuild it, it brings it back to 0 miles, depending on how far you go, you replace everything, get it all cleaned etc. costs much less nad you can play around with compression numbers as well with diff pistons and such. It depends on if youw ant to go fast, or look good, if you want vtec, or turbo, all motor etc.

figure out what you want first. Do you want all motor, turbo, vtec, non-vtec, LS-Vtec? What do you want the car to look like?

There is a rule I use to build cars with. Would I rather have a car that looks good first and possibly sitting on the side of the road or would I rather have a car that is reliable that I can slowly build up? That is why I always start from the inside out. Engine/suspension, interior, body/wheels

If that is what you want then make that your goal. This car is going to be LS/Vtec in a short time. Now he went the more expensive way and got the REALLY good stuff but you can talk to Vteckidd and he can set you up with something.

    that is so damn true!!!

I ask so many people that same question
    especially older model cars

I helped a guy the other day who couldnt get his car to crank
it had 22", beutiful paint job clean as hell.......on the outside
but once i looked under the hood.
oil was everywhere, hacked up wires, and it was leaking power steering
"but he was ridin' clean"!!! his words exactly

Yes, Vteckidd works at Mainstream Performance. He has connections to get what you need and can build it for you and get it ready to go.

swap motors.. Take your time. The hardest part about it is, being your daily driver.

Or if you can, Buy another car as your daily ( a beater ) and build the teggy. Would make things 150 % much easier, I know is more money, But it would help alot.

And yea, Vteckidd I buy stuff from him and would reccomend him for parts and he will def go the extra mile to help you out.

yeah, thats one of the options that i was thinking but i think in the situation that i am in , buying another engine and just puttin git to the side would be a better thing to do

id personally, build an engine, and sit it aside until yours gives out. Then use the time between to do your body, and when you paint the car, Then swap the engine in so you can paint hte engine bay

    as far as rebuilding goes
buy you a cheap ass motor from the junk yard
tear it apart buy the parts to rebuild it
either bottom up or just a slight rebuild
then sell the engine. thats how I learned
then when you think you've got it figured out start on yours
but a motor swap is a little easier in some cases depending on the swap

Talk to Vteckidd, tell him what you want and he will give you a ballpark on what it will cost and what you need to buy first and then you can go from there.

Why would you want another engine, what's wrong with the one you have...does it smoke, burn oil, run bad, etc.? You want a swap but don't want a GS-R engine? What are you wanting...for it to go faster or look better/differant? I'm just trying to figure out what's going on, what's going through your head...what's the basis for wanting a "swap"? Most importantly, how much are you wanting to spend...you're gonna have a budget on anything you do, how much are we looking at...i can tell you exactly what you can get done for that amount.
