I had to drive through Atlanta today... took two hours averaging about 11MPH. Really really pissed me off since I had about 380 miles to go after I got out of Atlanta.
i just got home having some fun, streets are def semi iced up. I did go sideways on a street when i hit a ice patch after that i was no more than 20-25. I had my fare share of goin sideways and accidental cyclones in suby. Video is up :D
What's wrong with it? Car on ice & snow, 1 and 2 gear spinnin around at about less than 10psi without breakin a sweat. It's built to have fun, not to be locked up in garage. Last i checked i still owned it and i'll drive it as i please. I wanna play with it, I damn will :goodjob:.
or you could be this guy and think the highways would be in better condition than the back roads and fishtail left, then right, then back left then all the way around onto the median beside a 'stay off median' sign. 240sx + camber wear'd tires + welded diff + non salted snow covered = epic failure.
all in all tonight i can say ive 1. walked on the 'fast lane' on the highway. 2. drifted on the highway. 3. been on the median when i wasnt supposed too.
oh, and the BEST part, was the cop on the other side of the highway that more than likely watched it all, walked over and asked 'do you need any help?'
Nobody here freaks out about an inch lol. People get excited about it and stuff but nobody freaks out. I personally HATE snow.
I've driven on northern roads in horrible conditions and can haul ass. Here for some reason you just spin. I drive in the ice and snow perfectly fine, I usually do mountain runs when it snows, however, some of these roads are impossible to drive on no matter what you do, maybe it's just my car lol.
However most northern places DO get treated on main roads, I've been there, have family all over the north and in very remote places of Ohio.
I can say that here in Gainesville we got almost four inches in most spots. That's a little much for the south IMO.
all i got to say is that i rather play it safe and drive slow. i have never driven in this conditions and even though i have the knowledge to get out of a situation, should one happen, i don't really want to use it. and for you ass holes going 35 in two lane roads with a ton off ice FUCK YOU you almost ran me off the road last nigh
See I concur with the above statement. The reason people up north can drive in this better is because they are used to it and drive in it most of the year. To where people down here aren't used to it and don't know how to adjust their driving to compensate for this kind of weather.
The reason why everyones moving to Atlanta... because they cant get OUT!! Its like a tourist trap, purposely built to look like a large city to attract people into the traffic net it casts. Why u think I moved there?
I got stuck in traffic at the top of 285 from 75 and was there for 3 hrs because of an accident, got a job interview and just said fuk it
"Perfect thing to do.......", Sarcastically telling me not do to what i did. You know these cars are made for this? I can asure you that was child's play for the car. Tires prbly lost zero tread (i am about to change them anyway), didn't hit 10psi (it can hold way more easily), 6spd tranny was right at home eating chocolate, no stress on center & rear diff, suspension was ice skating, RPMs 5k max. Most abuse it saw was dirty and ice shoved on the car. How else could have i hurt it?
I know where u are coming from, but abuse would have been doing the same on dry tarmac. We both have our opinions.
